For a period, Skarmory and Magnezone hadthe best win rate in the entire meta, though that deck has now dropped down to second place, and decks including bothElectivireandCresselia have both carved out their niches.
One card, which has been around since the Genetic Apex days, is seeing a major rise, though. That card is Exeggutor ex.
Exeggutor ex Is Storming Its Way Back Into The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Meta
Since the release of Space-Time Smackdown, Exeggutor has found a whole new utility, taking advantage ofDarkrai ex’sweakness to Grass-type Pokemon. With its quick set-up and low energy cost, it has found its popularity rise to heights it’s never been at before.
According toLimitless TCG, during the Genetic Apex era, Exeggutor ex decks were only used by around 1 percent of players. Here, they had a roughly 43 percent win rate. This then rose fairly significantly during the Mythical Island era, following the introduction of Celebi ex, seeing the card used in around 7.5 percent of decks, winning about 52.5 percent of its battles.
Following the release of Space-Time Smackdown, and the dominance of Darkrai ex, Exeggutor was propelled to new heights. Here, the Pokemon is used in over 15 percent of decks, increasing its win rate to over 53 percent. It’s a swift rise for a very versatile card.
The pairing of Exeggutor ex and Celebi ex is now the most popular in the entire game, making up roughly ten percent of all decks in tournaments, with a 54 percent win rate. Its pairing with Mew ex currently covers 2.32 percent of deck usage, and with Yanmega ex another two percent. Those decks have 53.94 percent and 50.96 percent win rates, respectively.
