Summary
Pokemon Unitewill be getting game modes that were previously exclusive to the Chinese version of the game this year, starting with a 500-point mode that switches out collecting Aeos energy for scoring points. A better look at that new mode was shown off during today’s Pokemon Presnets with teams competing to become the first to hit 500 points.
The reveal of what’s to come in 2025 in Unite also included which Pokemon will be next to join its growing roster. The Legendary Beast Suicune is next up, Alolan Raichu will follow, and then Alcremie. Suicune will join the game later this week on March 1, Alolan Raichu in April, and no firm release date was given for Alcremie.

Unite’s 500-point mode will be available today, and you will be able to use any of the game’s Pokemon to rack up points as much as you like. Unfortunately, the other features currently exclusive to the Chinese version of Unite were not shown off during today’s Pokemon Presents. That includes an auto battler/auto chess mode and a lobby that lets you walk around with a partner Pokemon of your choice. Still no word on when exactly those features will come to the main version of the game.

Even though today’s Pokemon Presents ran for less than 20 minutes, a lot was packed in there to celebrate what is the most important day of the year for Pokemon fans. The biggest takeaway was the one we were all expecting -more information about Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It had been a full year since the follow up toLegends: Arceuswas revealed with little more revealed since. We got a better look at it today, but still no firm release date.
