Summary
The last timePlayStationchecked in onAstro Bot’s sales numbers, it reported the platformer had shifted 1.5 million copies and it’s still unclear if that’s a number to be happy or worried about. Either way, Astro Bot’s sales numbers will likely be getting a boost next month as a new report claimsthe 2024 Game of the Yearwill be bundled and sold withPS5s.
That’saccording to French site Dealabswhich has a pretty impressive track record when it comes to leaking information about PlayStation’s imminent plans. According to the site, PlayStation will release an Astro Bot PS5 bundlein North America and Europe on Jun 12, 2025. The bundle will reportedly include a standard PS5 with a disc drive, a code for Astro Bot, and a regular DualSense, not the Astro Bot one, unfortunately.

Dealabs stopped short of revealing how much the bundle might cost since that information hasn’t been revealed yet. However, it speculated that the Astro Bot PS5 bundle might retail for less than 500 euros in Europe. A standard PS5 that isn’t part of a bundle is currently 550 euros, so bundled with a 70 euro game for 50 euros less than it costs to buy the console all by itself would be quite the deal if that’s how this pans out.
Astro Bot Will Reportedly Be Bundled With PS5s Starting In March
If You Own A PS5, You Shouls Own A Copy Of Astro Bot
The leak claiming North America and Europe will be getting an Astro Bot PS5 bundle comes after a reveal from PlayStation thatMonster Hunter Wildswill be bundled with its newest console, but only in Japan. DespiteMonster Hunterhaving a global reach in 2025, PlayStation has focused its Wilds merch on Japan. Not only a PS5 bundle, butthe Monster Hunter Wilds DualSense and matching PS5 coverare also exclusively available in Japan.
It’s possible that the Astro Bot bundle will get an official reveal during PlayStation’s next State of Play, but even that is only a rumor for now. It’s believed PlayStation will hold an eventto reveal what' else is coming to its platform throughout 2025. However, PlayStation has yet to confirm whether that’s the case.
Astro Bot potentially being bundled with PS5s will hopefully continue to boost its sales numbers and in turn, increase the odds of us getting more Astro games in the future. Between the critical acclaim for Astro Bot and that 1.5 million sold being a pre-holiday figure, I get the feeling PlayStation’s celebrated platformer has already done more than enough to warrant a sequel.
