Summary

Rockstarcouldn’t use the bathroom without somebody speculating the company was teasing the date ofGrand Theft Auto 6’snext trailer. “You see, the streams of pee indicate the month, and the seconds it took to finish is the day.”

So far, players have usedbullet holes and braille, car stickers, the moon, and everything in between to wrongly predict when a new trailer for this year’s most anticipated game will drop.

Feeding off scraps, as they always do, impatient fans have started to theorize that Rockstar revealing it has a public Discord server means that news must be coming soon. Right?

Rockstar Discord Server Announcement Draws More Calls For GTA 6’s Second Trailer

Yesterday, Rockstarannouncedit was opening an official Discord server, allowing you to “Connect with players from across the community and use the LFG channels to fill out your crew.” Naturally, it descended into chaos.

The post quickly garnered over 900 comments, many of which were fans telling the poor social media person to “release trailer 2 now”. Naturally, they got no response.

Things were a little more measured on the GTA 6subreddit, but players were linking the announcement of the Discord server to the fact that news must be coming soon.

Mrdrunkmasterqueried, “Is their marketing campaign finally starting?” To which bozoclownputer replied, “This is almost certainly a very early stage of the GTA6 marketing process by creating and promoting a Discord server. It’s not a coincidence that this is being posted the same year the game’s being released.”

This is almost certainly a very early stage of the GTA6 marketing process…

While there aren’t as many pie-in-the-sky theories this time around, and nobody is using the amount of words in the tweet to decipher the date of the next trailer, that didn’t stop speculation from running wild.

“Maybe trailer 2 by April 1st week, claiming release by fall 2025,” one fansaid, with anotherpredicting, “It might come sooner than I thought.”

Although nothing is for certain, this is another perfect example of the Grand Theft Auto community building hype and doing Rockstar’s marketing for them.
