Summary

BetweenSonic x Shadow Generationsand the ongoing success ofSonic the Hedgehog 3, the Blue Blur arguably had one of his best years to date in 2024. Although we haveSonic Racing: CrossWorldsto look forward to, 2025 probably won’t be quite as packed as last year. We do have some newSquishmallowsto get things started though, and all of them are available now.

Four new designs were added to Sonic’s Squishmallows collection this week, although none of them actually feature the hedgehog at the center of it all. That doesn’t make them any less special though, of course. For starters,a new Shadow Squishmallowdesign is among the four. Shadow already has a Squishmallow, but this one is different since the brooding hedgehog is holding what is either a green Chaos Emerald or the Master Emerald in its hands.

The emerald is embroidered onto Shadow’s design rather than there being a Squishmallow emerald in his small, squishy hands.

Shadow isn’t the only new Squishmallow holding an emerald.Knuckles is also a part of the new rangeand is holding a blue Chaos Emerald to differentiate the new design from the echidna’s existing Squishmallow. The new Knuckles is also sporting a sneer which is far more fitting of the character than the smile on his first Squishmallow. Maybe Knuckles prior Squishmallow has a grape in its mouth.

Four New Sonic Squishmallows Have Been Revealed And All Of Them Are Available Now

Well, None Of Them Are Actually Sonic, But You Know What I Mean

Two more new Sonic Squishmallows are also available now on Amazon, but neither of them has a Chaos Emerald. They have been designed to look like they’re holding items too, though.Amy is the most notable of the two, and perhaps all four, since she’s the only character in this drop to be making her Squishmallow debut. Probably not coincidental with the pink hedgehog joining the Sonic movies last year, swooping in to save the day during Sonic 3’s mid-credits scene.

Sonic The Hedgehog Squishmallows

Sega and Jazwares have been working together for a while to turn Sonic and his cast of supporting characters into Squishmallows. This batch includes a Squishmallow debut for Amy Rose along with new designs for Tails, Shadow, and Knuckles, each of them holding an item unlike their original designs.

Last but not least is Tails. Tails' new Squishmallow is holding a ring instead of an emerald and, like the other three, isavailable now for $24.99 on Amazon. All of the new Sonic Squishmallows are 14 inches tall and can be ordered through the links in the box above.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds got a full revealduring this week’s State Of Play followinga very brief teaser during last year’s Game Awards.Segahas already confirmedthe game will include characters from non-Sonic games, even though none of them have been shown yet, and fans think they’ve figured out all 23 characters on the game’s launch roster after coming through the new trailer.
