Segaand Paramount did all sorts to hype the release ofSonic the Hedgehog 3and clearly it paid off with the threequel nowthe second highest-grossing video game movie everin the US. One of the collabs it put together was with Reebok asSonic, Tails, and Knuckles got their own line of sneakers, and now the Blue Blur’s shoes are more widely available thanks to them finding their way onto Amazon.
The Sonic Floatzig sneakers are blue and white, just like Sonic, with red soles to represent Sonic’s red shoes. The Floatzig’s, along with the Tails and Knuckles designs, were released exclusively through Reebok last month, just in time for Sonic’s 3’s arrival in cinemas. However, now the blue sneakers can be bought through Amazon, and for quite a bit less than they cost at Reebok.
The Sonic shoes retail for $140 when bought directly from Reebok, not to mention you’ll be lucky to find them in stock at this point, especially if you have a common shoe size. Not only does Amazon have the sneakers in stock, but they are heavily reduced.The sneakers start from $98, and how much you can potentially save ultimately depends on what size you need.
It’s also worth noting the “ships from” and “sold by” notes you can find under the add to cart button on the right-hand side of the screen. Unfortunately, the Tails and Knuckles sneakers don’t appear to have found their way onto Amazon just yet. A real shame as I remain of the opinion that the red Knuckles sneakers are the best of the three. So much so that I bought myself a pair over the holidays. They’re comfortable too and I can only assume that extends to the Sonic Floatzigs as well.
Sonic The Hedgehog Reebok Floatzig Sneakers
Sega teamed up with Reebok to create sneakers themed after Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in preparation for Sonic 3 hitting theaters. The Sonic sneakers are redesigned Reebok Floatzigs with nods to Green Hill on the tongue and interiors, and a ring charm attached to the backs.
The Sonic merch will likely not be coming at us quite as frequently as it did throughout 2024 with no big movie waiting for us at the end of the year. There are more Sonic projects to be excited about, though.CrossWorlds, a new Sonic racing game, was revealed during The Game Awards. Sega has also already confirmed there will be a Sonic the Hedgehog 4, andproduction is reported to be starting on it as soon as next month.
