Summary
Rumours and leaks about the successor to theNintendo Switch, often referred to as the Switch 2, have reached fever pitch. We’ve got videos thatapparently reveal the Joy-Con design, accessory manufacturers claiming to know the console’s specs, and evensome supposed ports being revealed by storefronts.
However, we can’t confirm whether or not any of these leaks are actually real - not untilNintendoshows its fans some mercy and reveals the console at long last. In the meantime, the leaks have not escaped the company’s notice - and its PR team is said to be finding them funny.

Nintendo Is Amused By All Of The Switch 2 Leaks Too
Nintendo is unlikely to change its plans to reveal the Switch 2 based on leaks
As spotted by Reddit user MurkyInitial8534, journalist Imran Khan commented on this in a ResetEra thread. Here, when someone wondered how Nintendo’s PR department must feel about all the leaks, Khan left the following comment:
As far as I know, they’re finding a lot of stuff floating around to be funny. Plans have not changed.
This lines up withwhat was said by former Nintendo employee Krysta Yang, who also agrees that the announcement date hasn’t been changed because so many leaks are being shared online. “As wild as these leaks are Nintendo is going to stick to their plan,” she said on Twitter. “They have a date in mind and they are not budging no matter what.”
At the very least, Nintendo is apparently aware of just how silly this is all getting. That said, many fans are in on the joke too, with one going to the effort ofholding a tarot card sessionto try and see if we’ll get Switch 2 news soon. If the cards are to be believed, we won’t have to wait much longer, although I think that was a pretty safe bet either way at this point.
For now, we’re still waiting for the Switch 2 announcement. If rumours are to be believed, it will havean April release date.
