Wuthering Wavesalready had some of the best character designs in the gacha genre, and they’ve somehow managed to make them even better with Rinascita’s release. Brant is the perfect example of that as the first Rinascita character you meet in the main story while trying to cross the waters.

During the version 2.1 update, Brant was released as a playable five-star character with Fusion as his element and a Sword as his weapon. He’s one of the best characters to have, but you’ll have to build him properly to get good value.

Best Brant Weapons

Once you successfully pull Brant from thegacha system of Wuthering Waves, you’ll first have to get to his weapon screen not only to look at the cool pose while holding a sword, but also giving him the best one you can find on your account. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you should give him any five-star sword.

Each sword has a specific passive and secondary stat, and you’d want the one that synergizes well with him. Thebest weapon you can have on Brant is Unflickering Valor, which is his signature sword. However, not everyone can get it, and there are plenty of other options:

Wuthering Waves Unflickering Valor icon.

Unflickering Valor

Five-Star

Being his signature, Unflickering Valor has every stat and buff you’ll need on Brant. Not only does it give you a massive Energy Regen from the secondary stat, butalso provides a bit of Crit Rate and a ton of Basic Attack DMG.

Having this weaponmakes it a lot easier to build Brantto his full potential.

Wuthering Waves Overture icon.

Overture

Four-Star

The second best sword you’ll find for Brant is Overture, and it’s mainly because of the shared secondary stat with the above weapon. This sword also gives you a ton of Energy Regen.

Other than that, you may also regenerate16 Concerto Energy upon triggering the Resonance Skill once every 20 seconds, which helps him switch out faster while being used as a sub-DPS.

Wuthering Waves Emerald of Genesis icon.

Emerald of Genesis

You can get this sword from the Standard weapon banner in Wuthering Waves, and it can beused on Brant if you’re planning to use him as a DPS. It provides a significant Crit Rate boost after being fully upgraded.

You’ll also get a bit of Energy Regen, which can go along way for this character as his Resonance Liberation is a big deal(more on this below). You can also get some ATK on using his Resonance Skill.

Wuthering Waves Red Spring icon.

Red Spring

Apart from giving a similar Crit boost as Emerald of Genesis, this sword is made for Brant DPS build. It doesn’t have Energy Regen, butgives you a ton of ATK and Basic Attack DMG upon using these attacks.

However, you won’t be able to use the last part of thisunless you use Brant’s outro skill and instantly switch backto him.

Wuthering Waves Lumingloss icon.

Lumingloss

If you’re looking to build Brant as a DPS but can’t have the five-star weapons mentioned above,Lumingloss can be another decent choice for people who buy the battle pass.

It provides adecent ATK and Basic Attack DMG bonus, with the latter being applied after casting the Resonance Skill.

Wuthering Waves Sword of Voyager icon.

Sword of Voyager

Three-Star

Finally, if you don’t have any of the above weapons, you’re able to use Sword of Voyager to get the required Energy Regen boost whilealso getting extra Energy when you cast your Resonance Skill.

This will help you get the Liberation back in time for every rotation.

Brant Echo Guide

After upgrading Brant and the weapon that you chose for him, the next step is to pay attention to his Echoes. These give you most of the stat boosts and abunch of bonus effects for having two or five pieces from the same set. These bonuses add diversity to echoes while making only a few of them viable for each character.

Best Brant Echo Sets

For Brant, thebest echo set is Tidebreaking Courage for the sub-DPS build and Molten Rift for the main DPSbuild. Here’s the main reason for that and the other choices that you have:

Tidebreaking Courage

This is a great set for Brant both in the main and sub-DPS builds as itprovides him with Energy Regen on the two-piece, which helps you get the Liberation back in time for the rotation.

Furthermore, after getting all five pieces from it, you’re able to get an extra 15 percent ATK and30 percent all Attribute DMG bonus if you have 250 percent Energy Regen.

Wuthering Waves Dragon of Dirge icon.

Moonlit Clouds

If you want to use Brant as a sub-DPS but don’t have access to the above set just yet, you can use Moonlit Clouds toget a similar Energy Regen with the two-piece.

It works even better for the support build as this set can increase the ATK of resonator thatcomes on the field after Brant’s outro skill by a whopping 22.5 percentwith five-piece bonus.

Wuthering Waves Impermanence Heron icon.

Molten Rift

Finally, this is an early-game set that can be used for Brant’s main DPS build as it provides up to40 percent Fusion DMG bonus after you use his Resonance Skill, which is a big part of his kit.

Best Brant Main Echoes

When you’re equipping different echoes on Brant, you’ll see a bigger slot at the top, which isreserved for the main echo. Each echo in the game has a unique skill, and you can use the skill assigned to the main echo in combat. For Brant, the best main echoes are Dragon of Dirge and Nightmare Inferno Riderrespectively:

Dragon of Dirge

As soon as you equip this echo in Brant’s main echo slot, he’ll get a12 percent Fusion and Basic Attack DMG bonus, which are both great stats for him. However, this echo has quite a long field time upon use.

While using the Dragon of Dirge, it’sbest to avoid using the echo skill as it makes your rotation less efficientoverall.

Impermanence Heron

When the first hit from this echo lands on an enemy, Brant gains ten Resonance Energy whilegiving the next resonator extra ATK upon using Outro Skill, which perfectly suits this set’s bonuses.

While using this echo, you’d want to long press the Heron to go into fly mode while spitting flames. This will let you get the first hit quickly, after which you can use his Outro Skill to animation cancel.

Nightmare: Inferno Rider

This echo doesn’t fully suit Brant as itgives Fusion DMG and Resonance Skill DMG bonus, and the latter isn’t the best for him. However, it’s still the best one you’ll find in the Molten Rift set.

You can use it at the end of his turn and instantly switch off to the next character, which lets you get some extra damage without waiting for the echo’s skillto finish.

Best Echo Stats For Brant

Now that you’ve selected the best set and main echo for Brant, thenext step is to select the main and sub-stats for each echo. Much like other characters, you’d want to go for a four-three-three-one-one build on Brant with the following main stats:

Cost 1

ATK

It’s important to have double Energy Regen main stat on the three-cost echoes ashe needs a total of 280 percent(more on this below).

For the sub-stats, you can prioritize them in the following order:Crit Rate > Crit DMG > Energy Regen > Basic Attack DMG > ATK. Since Brant doesn’t get much Crit Rate unless you use specific weapons, it’s more important to get his Crit Rate in a good position before pushing for the Crit DMG.

Brant Skills Overview And Priority

Each character in Wuthering Waves has a total of six abilities that they can use in combat, withfour of them being active and two being used in specific circumstances. The most important thing with these characters is to learn how their abilities work and the best combinations you may use.

Brant Abilities, Explained

Here’s everything you need to know about Brant’s abilities:

Brant’s Outro skill providesFusion and Resonance Skill DMG to the next resonator, which is the reason he works well as a sub-DPS.

Brant Attack Combinations

If you want to beat the endgame content like Tower of Adversity or Whimpering Waves, you’llhave to perfect your attack combinations with Brant since time is of the essence. While using him as a sub-DPS you’ll start with his Liberation every time as it massively boosts his kit.

Once the Liberation is out, use your Skill to jump in the air and start your mid-air attack combination.Use all four mid-air basic attacksand then the special heavy attack once you land on the ground. This will be enough to fill your Bravo bar, which lets you use the buffed skill and switch to the main DPS. You can also check out the video above to see how this combination works.

Make sure your Concerto Energy is75 percent filled before using the buffed Skillas this will make it full and allow Brant to use his outro.

As soon as you activate the buffed skill, you can instantly switch instead of waiting for the animation to finishsince he’ll still finish that attack while you can start attacking with the main DPS.

Brant Forte Priority

It takes quite a lot of resources to upgrade a character’s abilities in Wuthering Waves, which makes it important to prioritize the right one. For Brant, the Forte Circuit is undoubtedly the first choice for upgrades as it boosts the healing, shielding, and damage you get from the buffed Skill.

After this, you’re able to upgrade his abilities in the following order:Basic Attack - Resonance Liberation - Resonance Skill - Intro Skill. If you’re low on resources while trying to build other characters, you can also ignore the last two abilities once you have them around level six. You’ll need tounlock his Inherent Skills and other stat nodes as soon as possible.
