Summary

Fromsci-fi, to fantasy, alien abductions have been a subject of fascination. While it is not quite so fun to be taken onto a spaceship and be experimented on, video games make alien abduction feel like the start of a brand-new adventure.

In some cases, you’re doing your best to avoid getting beamed up into a spaceship, while other times, you end up trying to escape the confines of a futuristic starcraft. There are even some games where the abduction occurs so out of left field it leaves you wondering if it really did happen or if it was just the character’s imagination.

Traveling through the mothership, you find a way out of the situation, but cause the ship to crash into the town, setting the stage for more strange events to unravel.

Terrifying experiments occur within this ship known as The Sphere. Filled with numerous alien species that have been forcefully spliced together, Domasi must help his band of human rebels to free themselves. It’s a unique spin onthe alien abduction trope where the enemy isn’t always organic.

The last series that you would expect to have aliens suddenly appear and abduct you is Saints Row. However, as the series progressed, so did the silliness, and Saints Row 4 embraces it by having the main antagonist be the alien emperor, Zinyak.

He abducts the player and puts them inside a simulation based on the 1950s. It isn’t long before you escape and can start rescuing other abducted members of the Saints. While the Zin have destroyed the Earth in this timeline, there is still a chance to restore it using time travel aboard the ship.
