TheAssassin’s Creedseries is more about murder than romance. After all, thegames revolve around deadly Assassins. Yet, these killers have personal lives, too. So, some of them enter into romantic relationships during the games.
They don’t always get the happy ever after they perhaps desire, but some of the romances still end up being compelling and very entertaining. They may even play a significant part in the overall narrative. Since the series contains a lot of different characters, there have been a lot of different romances. The following ones stand out the most, though.

The romances on this list haven’t been included based on how successful they were. Instead, it’s about how interesting and well-written they are.
8Edward And Caroline
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
The relationship between Edward and Caroline isn’t the sort of one you’d want to be in. Yet, it is compelling to watch. Caroline was born into a wealthy family but gave up her comfortable life to marry Edward, who isn’t exactly well-off.
He has a lot of big dreams and desires to be a rich man. Unfortunately, though, his love of alcohol slows him down and hurts his relationship with Caroline. In Black Flag, you slowly see their bond fall apart during a series of flashbacks. It’s heartbreaking.

7Ezio And Sofia
Assassin’s Creed Revelations
By Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Ezio is an older man. Therefore, he isn’t the playboy he used to be. That said, beautiful women still catch his eye, including bookshop owner Sofia Sartor.
What starts out as some sweet flirting between the two becomes more serious as the game goes on. By the end, the two have settled down together. They then have kids and grow old in each other’s company. The pair have one of the happiest relationships in the series, and she proves to him that there is a life beyond being an Assassin.

6The Eagle Bearer And Kyra
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the Eagle Bearer is either Kassandra or Alexios, depending on which character you choose to control. As either of them, you can pursue a relationship with Kyra, the leader of the rebels on Mykonos.
She is a strong person who has survived a lot, just like the Eagle Bearer, so it doesn’t take them long to get along. After a bit of flirting, though, she reveals that she’s in a relationship with someone else. This makes things complicated, and it’s up to you how the romance proceeds. Whatever you choose, it’s an enjoyable and entertaining ride.

5Bayek And Aya
Assassin’s Creed Origins
One of the more tragic love stories in the series belongs to Bayek and Aya. The two fell in love from a young age and even had a son together. Sadly, that child was later murdered, prompting Bayek to go on a quest for vengeance. Understandably, this whole ordeal was incredibly painful for the pair and strained their relationship.
The two rekindle things later when Aya joins Bayek’s revenge mission. Ultimately, though, they split once again but remain on good terms and help build the Hidden Ones together. You don’t get to see many happy moments between the pair, as most were shared before the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins. However, their relationship is a deep and meaningful one.

4Altair And Maria
Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines, Assassin’s Creed 2, And Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
At its core, Assassin’s Creed is a series abouttwo great factionsthat are constantly at war. So, there are naturally going to be some Romeo and Juliet-like relationships. One of them is between Assassin Altair and Templar Maria Thorpe.
Upon their first meeting, Altair spares her life, but they don’t immediately fall in love. They’re still enemies for a while, but they begin to grow closer over the years. Eventually, Maria falls out with the Templars and begins to understand Altair and the Assassins more. Despite their difficult beginnings, the two actually have one of the most successful romances in AC history, as they stay together for a long time and even have kids.

3Ezio And Cristina
Assassin’s Creed 2 And Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Cristina was Ezio’s first love. You meet her briefly in AC2, but her and the protagonist’s relationship is explored further in Brotherhood, as you get a series of flashbacks showing what the pair got up to.
They share a great bond and care deeply for one another, but their love can never be. This is because Ezio’s Assassin duties take him away from Cristina. She ends up marrying someone else and is eventually killed by some evil men. So, it isn’t the happiest of romances, but it is a powerful one that helps shape the man Ezio becomes.

2Eivor And Randvi
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Eivor can romance plenty of characters, but the main option is Randvi. The protagonist works closely with her throughout the game as she helps create alliances with different regions in England.
They don’t get romantically involved right away, as she’s with Eivor’s close friend Sigurd. This makes their feelings for one another awkward. Yet, the two have great chemistry and share some lovely moments. Depending on your choices in the game, Sigurd can be okay with the situation, meaning Eivor and Randvi can get a happy ending.

1Arno And Elise
Assassin’s Creed Unity
Arno and Elise grew up together as best friends. As adults, though, their paths diverge. When they meet up again, Arno is an Assassin, while Elise is a Templar. So, they should be rivals. However, they don’t let their groups get in the way of their feelings for one another.
Every time they meet up, they share some laughs and tender moments. Unfortunately, though, they’re both desperately trying to get vengeance for Elise’s father, and the female Templar loses her life in the pursuit. Before that, they prove to be one ofgaming’s most iconic couples.
