The Stone of Madnessis the opposite of a cheerful game; it’s a stressful experience where the atmosphere and characters make you feel like one of the prisoners. In this state, your goal is to help them escape. After handing over the Stone of Madness obtained in the prologue to a friar, the campaign The Corrupt Hand of the Church begins.

At the start of the campaign, Alfredo and Leonora are playable characters, and both have excellent skills. However, spending too much time in the monastery is the last thing you’d want, so focus on utilizing the strengths of all characters and work towards escaping.

How To Reach The Singing Nun

Your first objective in the chapter is to reach the singing nun. The singing nun is locatedin the building with the nuns, in the eastern part of the map. There are two ways to get there:

First Method: Use The Hidden Ladder

For the first method, you need to use Alfredo andhead to the garden where the nuns are.To the left of the dead tree in this garden, there are golden footprints you can investigate using Alfredo’s Investigate skill. To use Alfredo’s Investigate skill,you’ll need an oil lamp.

The oil lamp can be foundon the doormat to the left of the entrance to the buildingwhere the nuns are. After picking it up,light the oil lampusing the brazier in front of the building. Theninvestigate the footprints near the dead treewith Alfredo’s Investigate skill. After that,go down the stairsand investigate the other footprints.

Alfredo distracts people with his Sermon skill and Leonoro uses the lockpick the open the cell’s door in The Stone Of Madness.

Once you go far enough down, after examining the last clue on the ground,a button will appear on a wallnext to you, and a ladder will spawn on the wall of the nuns’ building.Pressing the buttonwill remove the obstacle on the second floor of the nuns’ building. This way, you canuse the ladder to climb to the second floorand talk to the singing nun.

Second Method: Unlock The Main Door

Alternatively, the second way to reach the singing nun’s building is through the main door. The key required to enter through the main door is locatedbehind the iron bars in the southern part of the map.

To enter the iron-barred area where this key is located, you’ll need Leonora’s Lockpick skill. However,this requires you to use a lockpick, so you’ll need to find one from lootable objects on the map.

The player unlocks the Amelia character in The Stone Of Madness.

While opening the bars, the people patrolling inside may cause trouble for you, so you canuse Alfredo’s Sermon skill from outside the bars to distract the people inside. Meanwhile, you can unlock the bars with Leonora.

This way, you can take the key inside, open the main door of the nun’s building and access the second floor, allowing you to reach the singing nun. Once you’ve reached the singing nun, talk to her, and she will ask you to find Amelia.

Where To Find Amelia

Finding Amelia is incredibly easy. All you need to do ishead to the large hall-like area with two columnslocated in the center of the map. First,go to the golden footprints on the southern sideof this hall anduse Alfredo’s Investigate skill.

Following these footprints will lead you to the northern side of the hall, where you’llnotice a barrel moving near the right side of a column.You’ll need to climb up next to it, but since there’s a guard facing the direction you need to climb, you shoulddistract them using Alfredo’s Sermon skill.

Leonoro breaks a mirror to scare Brother Guillermo in The Stone of Madness.

While the guard is distracted, use Leonora to climb next to the barrel and interact with it to find Amelia. This will unlock her as a playable character. Make sure to carefully review her abilities.

To proceed to the next objective, you’ll need toadvance to the next day.However, if you’d like, you’re able to take some time to loot areas of the map you haven’t looted yet before moving on.

Alfredo uses his Investigation skill on the Laundry’s corridor in The Stone of Madness.

At night, make the most of your characters’ abilities to lower suspicion and plan to restore their health. Additionally, prepare for the later stages by using Leonora’s skills to sell some valuable items at night andcollect 15 coins.

How To Find Brother Guillermo

Once Amelia has joined your team and you’ve started a new day, your next objective is to find someone named Brother Guillermo. Although you know his name, you don’t know what he looks like. Your main goal is to make Brother Guillermo see a broken mirror.

Open the door in the corridor at the southernmost part of the map, and you’ll enter a new area called Cloister. The first thing you should do istalk to Panecilloin the garden of this area. To learn Brother Guillermo’s identity, you need topay him 15 coins.

Alfredo finds the final clue inside one of the cells in The Stone Of Madness.

He will tell you that Guillermo recently bought a porcelain pipe from him and enjoys smoking. He will also suggest that you check his pockets. Select Amelia and check the pockets of the friarwalking from the western part of the garden to the northern part, you’ll find the pipe.

Additionally, as he walks his route, he stops andspends some time in front of a bookshelf filled with scrolls.Along his route, he will also enter a room with a mirror, leave it, and continue his path.

During this time, the friar will enter a room with a mirror, leave, and continue his route. Next,select Leonora and use a plank to break the mirrorin the room he entered. Eventually, as part of his route, the friar will enter the room with the broken mirror and see it. This will complete the objective.

Your next objective will be to interrogate Brother Guillermo. To do this, all you need to do is talk to him. Afterward, he won’t give you a clear answer but will mention the name ‘Tia del Nido.’ At this stage, there’s nothing more you’re able to do, so your only task is toprogress to the next day.Until evening, you can take some time to gather loot in the Cloister area.

How To Reach The Tia Del Nido

When you start a new day, exit through the trapdoor and head to the large hall with two columns. Here, you’ll see cutscenes about Tia del Nido and Mother Superior. You’ll need to find a tunnel leading to the area where Tia del Nido is located, but this tunnel isn’t visible at first.

To find the tunnel,start by following the footprints near the trapdoorin the Laundry areausing Alfredo’s Investigation skill. The footprints will lead to a room next to the trapdoor. To enter,use Leonora’s Lockpick skillto unlock the door. If you don’t have a lockpick, you may purchase one from Panecillo in the Cloister area.

It will be beneficial to either kill the guard inside the room or knock him out using a plank. After unlocking the door,use Amelia to close the window behind the bars, then interact with the final clue in the room with Alfredo. This will reveal the tunnel.

Use Amelia to go through the tunneland reach the corridor where Tia del Nido is located. Talk to her and ask about Brother Guillermo. You’ll learn that he is romantically involved with one of the nuns. Shortly after, Agnes will appear and you will unlock her as a playable character. At this point, you’ll need to progress to the next day. Use your remaining time to gather loot.

How To Reveal Brother Guillermo’s Sin

When you start a new day, your objective will be to prove Brother Guillermo’s sin. There are two ways to do this:

Where To Find Three Love Letters

The first letter is on the second floorof the Cloister, in a barred room with a nun inside. Take Amelia andclimb the stairs to the second floor of the Cloister, passing the guard. Press the button to open the iron-barred doors. Thenuse Leonora to reach the second floor.

Use Leonora’s lockpicks to open the wooden door of the room.Knock out the nunwith Leonora, and then search her to find the second letter.

The second letter isin the Laundry area, in a cell located in one of the corridors near the trapdoorin the Laundry lobby. It’s not visible at first.Use Alfredo’s Investigate skill in the hall with two columnsto follow the footprints. These will lead you to the cell containing a nun, where you’ll find the last letter.

The third letter is in Guillermo’s room in the Cloister. If you observe him, you’ll see him entering and leaving the room. However, you’ll need a key to get inside. Take Leonora andclimb the stairs to the second floor of the Cloister, passing the guard.

Here, you’ll find amother guard wandering and later sitting down. The key is next to him. Knock him out or kill him with Leonora. Afterward, enter Guillermo’s room anduse Leonora’s lockpicks to open the wardrobe, where you’ll find the first letter.

You can also reach the key by climbing the vines on the balcony to the east of the Cloister. However, since Leonora is afraid of fire on the balcony, you will need to use Agnes to extinguish the fire in the brazier.

How To Make Brother Guillermo Confess His Sins

To make Brother Guillermo confess his sins, you need to find the priest’s robes. The priest’s robes are also located on the second floor of the Cloister,in the same barred room with the nun where you find the first love letter.Use Leonora’s lockpicks to open the wooden door.

Inside,open the wardrobe with a lockpick to find Alfredo’s priest robes.Wearing this outfit will allow you to make Guillermo confess. After completing the objective in any way, Eduardo will be unlocked. You’ve already used him during the tutorial and know what he can do. Now, you can move on to the next day.

Don’t forget to make use of Eduardo’s crafting skill at night to create very useful items.

How To Enter The Barn In Nuns Garden

Your objective for today is to catch Guillermo while he meets with his lover. They meet in the barn located in the Nuns Garden area, to theeast of the Laundry section of the monastery.you’re able to reach it by descending the stairs from the part of the monastery where the nuns are located. However, to enter, you will need tounlock the iron-barred gate.

Alternatively, it is possible to reach here without the key. After passing through the iron bars of Nun’s Garden with Amelia, proceed carefully inside to reach the trapdoor. Then, you may bring your other characters to this area through the trapdoor, without needing the key.

The key to this gate isin the office of Mother Superior,who resides in the building where the nuns are located. You can open her office using Leonora’s lockpicking skill. Inside, you’ll find the key to the Nun’s Garden.

Once you have the key, you can open the barn door either with Leonora’s lockpicks or by using Eduardo and a crowbar. After eliminating the guard in the garden with Leonora, you can enter Nun’s Garden dressed in Alfredo’s priest outfit. While the nun is distracted with Alfredo’s Sermon skill, you can easily open the door. Once inside the barn, the chapter will be complete.
