Summary

Upon the release of every WWE 2K game, it’s always interesting to see how the developers decide to rate each superstar. After all, it’s the tradition of the series to assign every wrestler in the game an overall rating, and that series staple continues inWWE 2K25.

Each rating is fascinating, but what’s most interesting is seeing who the real big hitters are, the highest-rated superstars in the game. A lot of the wrestlers who were amongthe highest-rated in WWE 2K24have been given the same respect in 2K25. But who ranks at the top of the pile? Find out here.

9Undertaker - 96

WWE 2K24 Rating: 95

Few wrestlers inthe WWE games series have as many appearancesas The Undertaker. After all, he had an incredibly long career in WWE, starting in 1990, and since he’s retired, he’s still been a constant figure in these titles.

He’s also been constantly highly rated. It makes sense, as the Deadman didn’t lose many matches in his career and was generally presented as a dominant force. So, a 96 rating is no surprise and is similar to what he usually gets in these games.

8Rhea Ripley - 96

WWE 2K24 Rating: 96

At this point, Rhea Ripley is one of the most dominant women’s superstars in WWE history. She is continually in the title picture, whether she’s chasing the championship or already holding it.

Nothing much has changed for her since the last entry in the WWE 2K series. Therefore, it’s no surprise that she has a 96 rating once again. This makes her the most formidable woman in the game, which is a title she deserves.

WWE 2K25 screenshot of The Rock 01 raising his eyebrow.

7The Rock ‘01 - 96

In 2001, The Rock had yet to leave WWE to go to Hollywood. He was still one of the best in the business at the time, battling the likes of Steve Austin, Triple H, and Kurt Angle to be WWE’s top dog.

In fact, The Rock was arguably in his prime at the time, so it makes sense that this is the game’s highest-rated version of the Brahma Bull. And the rating of 96 isn’t too much for the self-professed Great One.

6John Cena ‘12 - 96

WWE 2K24 Rating: N/A

There was a period in wrestling when John Cena annoyed many people. This is because he just kept winning matches and championships. Plenty of fans complained about this and felt others should get a chance.

In 2012, Cena was at his peak level of dominance, so he was always going to be given a strong rating, and ratings don’t get much stronger than 96. Any version of Cena from that period has to be among the best in the game to feel authentic, so the rating is understandable.

WWE 2K25 screenshot of Cody Rhodes making his entrance.

5Cody Rhodes - 96

WWE 2K24 Rating: 93

Cody Rhodes was a big deal before 2K24 was released, but he’s an even bigger deal now. After all, back then, he hadn’t yet won the WWE Championship.

Not only has Rhodes won it now, but he’s also held it for a significant time, beating plenty of challengers in the process. Therefore, he had to get a better rating than his 93 from the previous game. He’s got just that, with an impressive 96, putting him on the same level as the legends of the business.

4Roman Reigns - 96

WWE 2K24 Rating: 97

With the rise of Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns has a lot more competition when it comes to being the face of the company. He even lost to Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, ending his extremely long title reign. This incident is likely why his rating in the game dropped a bit.

However, it only went down by one, and he’s still among the highest-rated wrestlers in the game with 96. He couldn’t drop too much, after all, since he’s still been fairly dominant outside of the match with Rhodes.

3Roman Reigns ‘22 - 97

In 2022, Roman Reigns was still in the midst of his historic title reign, where he beat pretty much everybody the company had to offer. Therefore, of course, he’s got an incredibly high rating in this game. He’d not lost to Rhodes yet, so he still looked unbeatable.

To give his dominance the proper respect, 2K has given him a 97 rating, which rivals the highest in the series’ history. Yet, for Reigns, it’s the standard sort of rating he usually gets.

WWE 2K25 screenshot of Stone Cold Steve Austin walking down to the Elimination Chamber.

2"Stone Cold" Steve Austin - 97

WWE 2K24 Rating: 89 (As “Stone Cold” Steve Austin ‘97)

While he might not be as famous as the likes of The Rock and John Cena these days, due to their Hollywood success, Steve Austin is considered one of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling.

This came from his exceptional run in the late ’90s when he was continually the top champion despite the company also containing the likes of The Rock, Triple H, and The Undertaker. That is the time frame on which this version of the Texas Rattlesnake is based. Therefore, the 97 rating is fair.

1Super Cena - 100

WWE 2K24 Raing: N/A

The highest-rated superstar of WWE 2K23has returned for WWE 2K25. It is Super Cena, a joke character but a very powerful one. He has an invisible body, which is a nod to those jokes about not being able to see John Cena.

Plus, he has a rating of 100, which is fitting for a guy who historically barely lost when he was the top guy in the company. The whole concept of this fictional version of Cena is that he’s incredibly difficult to beat. Therefore, his rating of 100 is exactly what it should be.
