There are manyanimethat handle romance well as they have well-written characters who are willing to go to great lengths. They will not let harm touch their loved ones and even if things are difficult between them, they try to resolve problems in a healthy way.
These characters definitely look attractive, but more than their looks, they have tender and caring personalities. Many of them changed for the better for the sake of their beloved. The lives of characters like Kiyoka, Okazaki, and Kaori definitely became much more fulfilling after finding the right partners.
8Hinata
Naruto
Hinata had a crush on Naruto since their childhood, and whileshe is too shy to be able to confess her love, she definitely won’t hesitate to prove it. Throughout the anime, she makes small gestures that show her care and devotion. During the Pain arc, she got badly injured trying to protect Naruto.
Hinata was saved by Naruto when she was a little girl, and since then she admired him. The events of The Last: Naruto The Movie focuses on their bond which eventually leads to their love being requited.
7Tuxedo Mask
Sailor Moon
Tuxedo Mask is a source of strength for Usagi and helps her regain confidence when she is feeling down. During the final battle with Nehelenia, Tuxedo Mask stood with Sailor Moon to vanquish the tough boss. At the start of the series, Usagi and Mamoru used to fight a lot, but their bond became much more intimate later in the series.
Tuxedo Mask often tries to push Usagi away, especially when he feels any danger coming. In the classical Sailor Moon series, he would appear out of random places just to utter a few wise words and support the sailors in battle.
6Shota Kazehaya

Shota Kazehaya is a popular guy in his high school who is idolized by many school girls. Yet he remains loyal to Sadako and tries his best to understand her complicated feelings, especially when she has a major tendency to overthink. Kazehaya talks about the importance of communication and tries to resolve all problems with her.
Kazehaya tries not to hurt others and he is polite while rejecting Kurumi, who has had a crush on him since middle school. Kazehaya often has trouble expressing his feelings, which are often misunderstood by Sadako. He is shown to get nervous and lose his composure, but he has a strong resolve to fulfill his love for her.

Narumi Momose had a hard time finding love and she suffered many failed relationships. She is an otaku but she tries not to show her this side to her love interests as she considers it embarrassing. When her childhood friend, Hirotaka Nifuji confesses to her, she feels much more comfortable with him.
Narumi and Hirotaka had many memorable moments where they discussed their favorite anime and manga. While Narumi was originally disgusted byHirotaka’s gaming habits, she is shown to later enjoy playing games together.
4Kaori Miyazono

Kaori Miyazono is a violinist who pulled out Kosei from his trauma related to music. After several musical performances and practice sessions with Kaori, Kosei became able to play the Piano beautifully again.
Kaori is very sick but she is cheerful and doesn’t show that she is suffering. She has a crush on Kosei, but she doesn’t show it until the end which is expressed through an emotional love letter.
3Kiyoka Kudou
My Happy Marriage
Kiyoka Kudou is perceived as a ruthless man, who is having a hard time finding a fiance at the start of the series due to his mean demeanor. However, he is shown to have a much gentle side when he meets Miyo who is his new bride-to-be.
While their marriage was intended to be arranged, Kiyoka begins to love her deeply and saves her from her abusive family. When Miyo’s stepmother kidnaps her out of jealousy for her happy life, Kiyoka destroys their entire mansion and shows his rage to save Miyo. Kiyoka is also willing to fight anyone who tries to take her away from him.
2Tomoya Okazaki

Tomoya Okazaki was a delinquent who had a poor relationship with his dad. He didn’t care much about life or his school performance. His life changed when he got to meet Nagisa, who was a cheerful girl full of hope and energy. He helped her set up the drama club in school and made her dream of acting on stage come true.
Tomoyo also gets to know many other girls throughout the series and befriends them while helping them reach their goals.
Tomoya vowed to change himself for her and became a much more responsible man to support the family after their marriage. While Tomoya spiraled back into a sad life due to circumstances, he became a responsible father to Ushio eventually.
1Violet Evergarden
Violet Evergarden
Violet Evergarden spent most of her life as a soldier, as a result, she was barely ever shown human emotion. The one who cared about her most was the major who taught her the word “love” although she didn’t quite grasp its meaning at the start of the anime.
She works as an Auto-Memory doll who writes emotional and romantic letters for other people. All of them are written with great care which will move both the characters and theaudience to tears.
Violet learns the meaning of love in Violet Evergarden: The Movie, but the anime series does not complete her story.
