Summary
As the reality of theNintendo Switch 2begins to feel more real with each passing day, more and more fans are wonderingjust when the console will be available for preorder. And just how far are we from being able to play with theNintendo Switchsuccessor.
Apparently, according to some new information, we’re not too far from either.

Prepare Your Wallets And Computers
In a new report from Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, citing internal emails and documents from a United States retailer, the Switch 2 is being earmarked for release in June. As Henderson notes, June has been widely rumored for release, and the documents seem to corroborate that.
As far as preorder date is concerned, Henderson reports that, at least at the U.S. retailer, preorders will go live on April 9. That would be exactly one week after Nintendo’s dedicated Switch 2 Direct. Earlier this week,April 2 was floated as a potential date by Best Buy Canada, which would be the same day as the event.
It’s Going To Sell Out
As a final note, Henderson has reported that the retailer has expected to run out of Switch 2 units the same day preorders go live. This is a particularly interesting tidbitas it was previously reported that Nintendo was preparing adequate stock to prevent scalping of any kind. Of course, that retailer could just have a smaller allocation compared to another.
And if you fancy preorder bonuses, it seems like an “exclusive collectible coin” will be given to those who preorder the console. It doesn’t sound like much, but it certainly is a nice bonus to commemorate the Switch 2. Either way, given that we’re literally days out from the dedicated Nintendo Direct, all of that information should be revealed imminently.
