Summary
Hollow Knight: Silksongbelievers have had a pretty wild year so far, as while we still haven’t heard anything just yet, we’ve seen the gamerandomly vanish from a storefront, anARG was found and then debunked within 48 hours, and we’ve even had Xbox acknowledge that the game is actually a thing and not just a shared hallucination.
Earlier this week,Xbox included Silksong in a list of upcoming games for the system, alongside a bunch of other games launching in 2025. We know that Xbox and Team Cherry have a relatively close relationship, with Silksong having last appeared at an Xbox showcase and a deal to bring the title to Xbox Game Pass at launch. In fact, that Game Pass launch may have finally given us our first bit a promising news for years.

We Might Be Getting A Summer Of Silksong
It comes in the form of a claim from an insider called Extas1,who recently said in his latest video, and later on Twitter, that Xbox is apparently planning for the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong on Xbox Game Pass at some point this June “at the latest”. According to Extas1s, this is a deadline that Microsoft has been given, and that the game could release on Game Pass in the month prior as well.
Now, before we all get overexcited and ready our keyboards to spam skong in the live chat of the next big showcase, it’s worth noting that Extas1s track record isn’t perfect. He has a pretty good idea of what games are coming to Xbox Game Pass and when, but he did recently getthe reveal of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 completely wrong, claiming it would be a shadow drop at an Xbox event this summer.
That being said, it’s not like Extas1s is wrong all the time, and I choose to believe that anyone that is willing to risk their safety by whipping up Silksong fans into a frenzy has to be pretty sure of themselves. If this date is true, we’ll likely see the game re-revealed at some point soon, with the April 2 Nintendo Direct looking like more and more of a likely venue.
