Summary
In what has become a Valentine’s Day tradition, another three Tomb Raider games have been remastered and ported to modern hardware. Indeed,Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darknessare now available on consoles andPC, withthe latter having cut content restored.
Unfortunately, it looks like the Trophy situation onPlayStation, specifically thePlayStation 5, is once again a mess.
PS5 Trophies Lists Are Wonky
For background, when the first threeTomb Raidergames werere-released last year as part of the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Trilogy, the PlayStation 5 set of Trophies had no Platinum. In total, 269 trophies were part of the PS5 package, with no Platinum or even a single Gold.
On thePlayStation 4side of things, though, each game had its own Platinum to go and hunt for.
That particular situation seems to have been replicated once again, though with at least one change. The PS5 version of the collection has a Platinum dedicated to The Last Revelation, though both Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness are being categorized as “DLC” packs, meaning there is no additional Platinum, though the trophies do count toward the larger 100 percent progress.
As anticipated, there are three individual Platinums dedicated to each of the three titles on the PlayStation 4. For one reason or another, the categorization of PS5 Trophies has been a mess. For example,on the Call of Duty side of things, beginning with Modern Warfare 2, each successive game is simply DLC for the larger COD HQ, meaning no Platinums, either. It’s unclear if a fix is possible, but Tomb Raider is the latest victim in an ongoing saga.
