If you’ve been paying attention toHonkai: Star Rail’sstory from the start, you’ve likely come across many terms that make the story a little too complicated. However, these terms are also important since they tell you how large this stellar universe is and how significant the Trailblazer is in it.
One of these terms is the Emanators. Whenever this term is mentioned, there’s quite an intimidating aura around it. However, to fully grasp how important this word is, you’ll need to learn exactly what it means.
What Are Emanators?
Honkai: Star Rail didn’t take long to make you realize that this world is completely ruled by the various Aeons, butthey aren’t necessarily the nice and selfless beings that you’d expect gods to be. Each Aeon has its own agenda. While some Aeons want prosperity, others just want to play with humans like The Elation.
These Aeons also gaze at various human beings around the world and let them follow their path,which is how you get playable characters on a certain path. However, there are very few selected humans that can directly gain power from the path itself, and these are known as the Emanators.
The amount of power that Emanators can draw from their path completelydepends on how much the Aeon wants to share.
Apart from being far more powerful than normal human beings,Emanators are also known for doing what you’d expect from their paths. You’ve constantly met some of these Emanators as you progress the story, like Phantylia in the Xianzhou Luofu, but only some of them are playable.
The Deeds Of Playable Emanators
Even though it’s been quite a while since the beginning of Honkai: Star Rail and you’ve met many Emanators, only two of them have been released as playable characters. Their strength in the loredirectly correlates to their playable strengthas these aresome of the strongest DPS unitsyou can build.
Here are some of the deeds that these playable Emanators have shown the Trailblazer:
Acheron
You meetAcheron during the Penacony arcof the story where she initially lies about being a Galaxy Ranger. During your fight with Aventurine, Acheron tears open the sky and shows her true powerbefore revealing that she’s the Emanator of Nihility. During this story, you also see random flashbacks involving her.
These flashbacks are about a lost soul and howshe does the job of guiding these souls to Nihility, the end.
The Herta
As you were about to depart from Penacony and arrive at Amphoreus, you see a glimpse ofThe Herta communicating with the Aeon of Erudition, Nous, themself. Though it’s soon revealed that it was just a simulated experience, and the Trailblazers disturb her when she’s actually about to get an audience with the Aeon.
Would the Aeon have replied to her? We don’t know. However, she did mention that if they did, theentire Space Station would instantly turn to embers, which means that she’sstrong enough to stay aliveafter all that.
