As the dust settles, several key developments are happening in the background, showing us what’s to come in future seasons.

Angstrom Levy And The Technicians

Angstrom Levy’s journey throughout Season 3is in the background as he spies on Markfrom his base of operations and comes up with his plan for vengeance against him.

At the end of Season 2,he has a confrontation with Markthat leaves him severely disfigured, andinitially thought to be dead. But Levy’s desperation drives him to seek assistance from the Technicians,a group of cybernetically enhanced beingsfrom a post-apocalyptic dimension.

They agree to heal Levy’s injuries using their advanced technology,but their aid doesn’t come free. Levy must fulfill undisclosed objectives for them.After the Invincible War arc, Angstrom Levy just barely escapes the clutches of Invincible, only to be stopped by The Technicians themselves.

They no longer want to help himuntil he gives them what he promised, something that has not yet been revealed in the story. Who knows what The Technicians are planning?

The Sequids

The resurgence of the Sequids introduces a subplotthat threatens global security once again. Rus Livingston, the former astronaut whopreviously fell victim to these parasitic alien creatures, is depicted in the finale amassing an army of Sequids from the sewers.

The Sequidspossess the terrifying ability to dominate their hosts completely, effectively creating a legion of mindless drones under their control. Livingston’s actions suggest aplan to unleash the Sequids on Earth, potentially leading to widespread chaos and destruction.

Conquest’s Fate

In the climactic finale of Invincible Season 3, Mark Grayson faces off against Conquest, one ofthe strongest Viltrumites of the empire.

The battle is intense and destructive,destroying cities and killing countless people, while pushing Mark to his physical and emotional limits.After seeing Atom Eve killed right in front of him, Mark finally stops holding back and lets loose on Conquest.

However, a plot twist reveals thatEve cannot die from physical injury, reconstructing her body at the atomic level and shooting Conquestwith a beam that burns most of his body. Despite both sustaining severe injuries, Mark manages to overpower Conquest,headbutting him to near death.

WhileMark believes he has killed Conquest, it’s later revealed thatCecil has secretly imprisoned the Viltrumitein a high-security underground facility.

Cecil’s intention is to extract informationabout the impending Viltrumite invasion, but the plan spells destruction,as Conquest isn’t a being you can hold in a prison like that.

Invincible Season 3’s Post Credit Scene

The post-credits scene of Season 3reintroduces Damien Darkblood, the demon detective previously banished to Hell by Cecil back in Season 1.

In this scene,Darkblood performs a ritual to summon his master, referred to as the Dark One, andseeks forgiveness for his past failures.

He informs the Dark One ofa powerful “surface dweller” with a “blackened heart"who could be bound to their service. This storyline is not present in the comics,so it’s completely original, and we have no way of knowing where it will go.

All these developments in the Season 3 finaleconcluded existing story arcsand laid the groundwork fornew challenges in the upcoming season.
