Every decision you make may close off other branches to other possible outcomes, making it exciting every time you start anew.

Apart from different endings that you may explore, there is also a wealth of secret things you can do that you may miss unless you stumble upon a certain item, use a particular origin character, or choose a specific option in a dialogue. Here are some things you probably didn’t know you could do.

1Vandalize Vlaakith’s Portrait

Hidden underneath the Rosymorn Monastery is Creche Y’llek where a battalion of githyanki, loyal to their deity, Vlaakith. Here, you can explore the inner workings of a gith hideout, and discover more about the sort of lifestyle they lead. Part of this is discovering their taste in decor for a place they call home.

One piece of valuable decoration they have on display is a portrait of Vlaakith on the wall. If you’re feeling devious, you’re able to actually deface the portrait by painting on it. Lae’zel will abhor you for it, but it’s certainly worth a good laugh.

3Eat The Noblestalk As The Dark Urge

When you start out your journey as The Dark Urge, you’ll find that you’ve lost your memories. Like with Shadowheart’s situation however, you can also seek some answers through a certain notable mushroom.

The Noblestalk will only give you a glimpse into your past.

The Noblestalk found in the Underdark can also be eaten by The Dark Urge to restore some of their lost memories. To eat it, you need to select it in your inventory and look for the option to consume it. Doing so will start a cutscene that will give you a glimpse into your past.

4Troll Mattis In Emerald Grove

When you enter Emerald Grove, you’ll find that a community of tieflings have sought shelter within its walls, but a group of tiefling children are spreading mischief with their sticky fingers.

One tiefling child you can come across is Mattis who’ll try to reel you into his scam with a coin trick. A hilarious thing you can do is to ask him to perform the coin trick over and over until he is utterly sick of it. He’ll then have you keep the coin just to get you to leave him alone.

5Explore New Options With Abdirak

Abdirak is a servant of Loviatar found in one of the rooms of the Shattered Sanctum. Speaking to him will give you the option of having a ritual of pain performed on you, granting you the permanent buff called Loviatar’s Love.

If you read the book entitled On Receiving Her Grace found on a table in the room, you’ll be able to select what tool you’d prefer Abdirak to use for the ritual. That way, you’re able to decide on what type of damage to receive and can even reduce its effects using items.

6Save A Doomed NPC In The Shattered Sanctum

If you go deeper into the Shattered Sanctum, past where Priestess Gut is, you’ll come across an unfortunate NPC named Smythin captured by the goblins. After their conversation, he’ll be kicked into a pit of giant spiders, sealing his fate.

In Grymforge, you may come across an Idol of Shar. Pick this up and speak to Shadowheart. Offer her the idol to raise your approval with her. A different cutscene will play out if you do this as a Selûnite cleric.

8Decorate Your Camp

If you’re wondering what all the odds and ends you find around your travels are for, they’re not only for selling as wares in bulk for a few gold coins. You can also take them back to your camp and make things a little homier.

With a few pieces of furniture and an eye for design, you can place all sorts of items around your camp to make spending time long-resting a bit more fun. Let your camp become a reflection of your unique and perhaps oftentimes chaotic self.

9Play The Main Theme Music

If you head back to your camp for a rest, there are plenty more things you can do apart from talking to your different companions, chatting with Withers,changing your appearance, and sleeping. There are several sections of the camp that are worth exploring.

When a camp location becomes inaccessible, all your decorations will return to your camp chest.

When you camp in the wilderness, check out the large rock sticking out from a ledge above Astarion’s tent. Get on top of it and the game’s theme will start playing. It’s a great way to play a different tune while you’re chilling in camp.
