By the time you reach the Emerald Stairs area ofAvowed, you’ll already be used to the general mechanics of the game and how it works. Apart from the main story, you can also find a ton of side quests as you uncover different parts of the world, but the side quests in Emerald Stairs are unique.
This is mainly because you might not be able to do them if you finish the main story in this area. Food Theft is one such side quest, and here’s how you can find the stolen food in it and what you should do with it.
Where To Find The Food Theft Quest
When you take a look at Emerald Stairs' map after arriving, most of it won’t be highlighted except for the Fior Mes Iverno city. This is the main settlement of this region, andyou can find the Food Theft quest pretty close to it.
Make your way to Fior Mes Iverno andhead to the east direction once you’re at the southern entrance of the city. After going on for a bit, you’ll notice a troubled NPC near the Farmer’s Market area that gives you this quest.
How To Find Stolen Food
As you talk to Sielo Piannini, he’ll tell you about a few banditsthat stole all his food just a bit before you arrived. Once you finish talking to him, you’ll see the general area of the bandits marked on your map at the northern edge of Emerald Stairs. You can find the Riverside Cave as you get to the area.
Before entering the cave, you may alsoget a golden cheston thelittle island in the middle of the river.
you’re able to enter this cave and go through a few rooms toreach the last one where you’ll see Ortrud and Erlinn. This cave is filled with Paradisan rebels, so they might not let you just walk up to their leaders unless youshowed mercy to Ygwulf in Dawnshore during the main story.
Right before you enter the room with these leaders, you can alsosee a breakable barrieron the right side of the entry. This will lead you to thehidden section of this cave with a bunch of purple chests. You can also find another golden chest right behind the two leaders.
What Should You Do With The Stolen Food?
If you made it to Erlinn and Ortrud without any violence, they’ll be willing to talk to you and decide what to do with the food. You only have a few choices here:
