Befriending and building relationships with Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Tiana is a massive part ofDisney Dreamlight Valley. All of them are people that your character used to know before The Forgetting, and as you complete their quests, you might find more than just lost memories and rewards.

Some of the things you experienced, either alone or with these characters, were so powerful that they became enchanted with Dreamlight Magic, and became more than a simple object or memory. You’ve found one so far, and whenever there’s unknown magic afoot, it’s best to go ahead and consult an expert like Merlin.

Mementos are speculated to be part of a future series of quests within the in-game dialogue, so the content below may be subject to change or be updated in the future.

How To Unlock The Memento

To get this special quest, you’ll need tomeet quite a few requirements. You’ll need to unlock theAladdin Realm for 15,000 Dreamlight, and complete all the quests within tobring Jasmine to the valley.

All ofJasmine’s Friendship Questsalso need to be completed:The Enchanted Flower,A Sandy Competition,Hot And Cold, and Wild, Wild Wishes. This also meansmeeting the prerequisites for her Friendship quests:

Hot And Cold

UnlockMulanand complete her level two Friendship Quest.

Unlock theFairy Godmotherand complete her level two Friendship Quest.

Onceeverything on the list above is completed, one of yourrewards for completing Wild, Wild Wisheswill be theSecret Journal, whichwas part of most of the quest line, and getting it willactivate The Memento quest.

What Are Mementos?

All you need to do for The Memento isgo to Merlinand speak with him. That singleconversation will complete the questand let youkeep the Secret Journal, but you’ll want tostore it in a safe placelike he said, such as achest for quest-related items.

TheSecret Journal is known as a Memento, an important item created from strong emotions that were locked away, and based on what Merlin says, itisn’t the only Memento in existence.

Due to this big hint, it’spossible that more Memento-related questswill beincluded in a future update, either as standalone quests or they may come from completing a character’s main series of Friendship Quests, like with Jasmine.
