Mere months afterSylus’s dramatic introductiontoLove And Deepspace, the developers unveiled the long-awaited fifth love interest, and hometown heartthrob, Caleb. Of the Love Interests, Caleb is the only one to be introduced long before you’re able to earn him as a romance option or combat companion.
For those of you who have played through at least Chapter Four, Under Twilight, you may already recognize Caleb, and after a less-than-well-explained absence, you may be wondering how Caleb could return to the story. But don’t worry, because we’ve got all the answers. Here’s how you’re able to welcome Caleb back home in Love and Deepspace.
This article contains minor spoilers for Chapter Four of Under Deepspace and Caleb’s main story chapter, Homecoming Wings.
Who Is Caleb?
Caleb is the main character’schildhood friend. After the Chronorift Catastrophe,both Caleb and the MC were taken in by Josephine, whom they call their grandmother. The two are not related, but didgrow up togetherunder their ‘Grandma’s’ roof.
Caleb is a deepspace pilotin the Deepspace Aviation Administraion and thefifth love interestin Love and Deepspace.

How To Unlock Caleb
Caleb’s character releasemirrors Sylus’sin many ways, including when he is available as a companion. However, you’ll be able tocollect him much earlieron than you’re able to collect Sylus.
To unlock Caleb, you need to havecompleted Episode Three of Vanishing Skyward, Vanishing Skyward -Empathic Interrogation. Once you have played through the episode, you will receive a notification letting you know that you cannow interract with Calebin theDeepspace Cafe, memories, dates, the player’s cellphone, and combat stages.
Even if you haven’t unlocked Caleb as a companion,you may collect his memoriesfrom both thepermanent Wish Pool, Xspace Echo andany limited poolsthat feature his memories.Once you’ve unlocked him, you will be able toplay throughyour collected memories.
Once youcomplete the episodeand get the notification, you will also be able tostart earning Affinitywith Caleb. You canraise your Affinity with charactersthrough several means, includingcompleting dates and Playtimeinteractions.
While you can technically unlock Calebbefore completing the main story, we highly recommend that youplay through at least chapters one through fourof the main storybeforeplaying Homecoming Wings.
For amore linearstory progression, and to get themost immersionfrom your playthrough, it is best to play throughall previous story stages, including the main story branches forSylus, Xavier, Zayne, and Rafayel.
If you don’t feel like catching up on all those chapters, don’t worry too much. You will still get arecap of all of the important plot pointsfrom previous chapters when you startEpisode One, Infiltration.
