Do you remember your firsts inHello Kitty Island Adventure? The first character you became best friends with, or the first area you discovered? You might not remember all, but you surely recall the first scene of the game.
Before reaching Friendship Island, your character was on a plane, and everyone jumped off to arrive there. The first quest you received was “Happy Landings,” earning your first tool — the balloon. But did you know you can collect more balloons? There are 20 balloons in total. This guide will show you how to get them all.
How To Complete The Float Away Fun Quest
You’ll receive the Rainbow Balloon during the first quest, ‘Happy Landings’. After completing ‘Float Away Fun’, you’ll get the Green Balloon.
If you want to find all the balloons, your first step is completing the ‘Float Away Fun’ quest. You canget this quest from Tuxedosam, but before that, you need to complete a few prerequisite quests. The table below shows the required quests in order:

TOPHAT
The Float Away Fun quest is quite simple. After speaking with Tuxedosam at his shop and accepting the quest,climb the hill above My Melody’s shop.There, you’ll find Tuxedosam and Big Challenges. After talking to them, Big Challenges will glide down with a green balloon.
Find him at the Seaside Resort centerand talk to him again. He’ll give you the Green Balloon, allowing you to start searching for the remaining balloons. These balloons are found in green, alligator-patterned chests.
Where To Find All The Balloons
Aside from the balloons found in these chests, special event balloons were also given in 2024. On November 24, during the Give & Gather Celebration, players received the Frosty Ornament Balloon on the first day.
Additionally, during the 50th Anniversary Event, which began on June 14, 2025, the 50th Anniversary Balloons were a Daily Reward on the seventh day.
Where To Find The Black Balloons
Black Balloons are located in Mount Hothead.Fast travel to the Mount Hotheadwaypoint andenter the temple to the left of the mailbox.To enter, you mustfind three Red Power Crystalsin the area andreach friendship level seven with Retsukoto accept the ‘Enraging Ruins’ quest. This will grant you access to the Red Hot Ruins.

If you have unlocked the Upper Ruins Entrance fast travel point,glide down to the four-door checkpoint areafrom the left of the mailbox.Enter the second door from the leftand continue straight to quickly reach the puzzle room where the chest is located.
Once inside the Red Hot Ruins, head north from the first puzzle room andenter the door with the purple symbol.Pass through the colored crystal puzzle room and continue north to the first checkpoint area, thenenter the door on the right.
After passing through the large puzzle room with buttons, you’ll reach the second checkpoint area. From the three doors here,enter the one on the left.In the puzzle room with three symbols,enter the door with the green symbol to the northand climb to the top of the tower.
Once inside the door at the top of the tower, you will reach the third checkpoint area.Enter the second door from the left, head north, and follow the broken path to the next room. Upon entering this new puzzle room,move slightly to the right, and you’ll find a chest containing the Black Balloonson a rock above the lava.
Where To Find The Blue Balloons
To obtain this balloon,fast travel to the Hopscotch Islands mailboxin Seaside Resort. Jump into the seanorthwest of the mailboxand start swimming. You’llfind small green floating islandsin the water, and on one of them, you’ll find the chest containing the Blue Balloons.
Where To Find The Blush Balloons
Fast travel to the Meadows Temple waypointin Merry Meadows. Jump onto the giant seed that has turned into a vine to the left of the mailbox.Climb the cliff to the northwestto reach the top, then pass under the tree branch arch.Move left,climb above the small waterfall, andswim to the leftto reach the chest near the lake, where you’ll find the Blush Balloons.
Where To Find The Gold Balloons
To obtain this balloon, you must complete the ‘Revive The Oasis’ quest. Afterward,fast travel to the Oasis waypointin Gemstone Mountain. Head left toward Pompompurin’s Dessert Boat, thendive underwater near the boatto find the Gold Balloons.
Where To Find The Ice Cream Balloons
These balloons are located in Icy Peak.Fast travel to the Icy Peak Entrance waypointand enter the entrance to the left. Move right and use the planks to climb up, then climb the cliff ahead of you to the right.
After reaching the two torches, use the planks on the right toclimb to the top.Once there,jump down next to the boxes on the right,and you’ll find the chest containing the Ice Cream Balloons.
Where To Find The Lilac Balloons
These balloons are locatedin the Haunted Mansionin Spooky Swamp. Fast travel to the Spooky Swamp waypoint, follow the path to the northeast, and then turn right to reach the mansion entrance. Inside,go to the room with switches to the left of the fifth puzzle room.In the room to the north, which requires a passcode, you’ll find the chest containing the Lilac Balloons.
Where To Find The Metallic Pastel Balloons
These balloons arein the Crystal Cavernsof Gemstone Mountain. Fast travel to the Oasis waypoint and follow the northern path. After crossing the wooden bridges, you’ll reach the Crystal Caverns entrance.
Follow the plank path andenter the door to the right of the boxes.Continue fully to the right, follow the plank path, andwhen it curves north, keep heading right instead.You’ll find the chest containing these balloons on a green platformnear the red crystal formations.
Where To Find The Metallic Rainbow Balloons
To obtain these balloons, you must complete the ‘Enraging Ruins’ quest. First,fast travel to the Mount Hothead waypoint, then go directly left.Enter the temple with a star symbol and two braziers beside it. Cross the lava to the left,activate the switch,and take a short minecart ride.
Follow the uphill path on the left,enter the cave at the end, andmove right.You’llsee a structure with two unlit braziers in front—this is where the chest containing the balloons is located.
Where To Find The Orange Balloons
Fast travel to the Gemstone Corralwaypoint in Gemstone Mountain. Follow the plank path to thenortheast of the mailbox, thenclimb the ladder on the right cliff.Climb onto thelargest stone behind the chestnext to the two trees, and you’ll find the Orange Balloons.
Where To Find The Pastel Balloons
Fast travel to the Merry Meadows Fieldswaypoint in Merry Meadows. Jump down to theright of the mailboxand pass under the tree trunk arch. Move right andreach the bridge, then jump into the waterto the north. You’ll find the chest containing the Pastel Balloons here.
Where To Find The Pistachio Balloons
These balloons are located in Spooky Swamp. Fast travel to the Spooky Swamp waypoint, follow the northeastern path, and turn right toreach the Haunted Mansion entrance. Behind the mansion, near the river, you’ll find the chest containing the Pistachio Balloons.
Where To Find The Red Balloons
Fast travel to the Calderawaypoint in Mount Hothead. Move right and climb thecliff to the left of the puzzle room entrance.Then,head southto the edge of the cliff. Glide over the lava with your balloons toreach the southern cliff.Once there, move south and drop down. After landing on the first ledge,glide down once more to reach the chest.
Where To Find The Silver Balloons
To obtain this balloon, you must complete the ‘Enraging Ruins’ quest. Afterward,fast travel to the Hot Springs waypointin Mount Hothead andmove left.Enter the templewith a door marked by two star symbols,move right, and you’ll find the chest next to the train tracks.
Where To Find The Sky Balloons
Fast travel to the Ghost Tour Ridewaypoint in Spooky Swamp.Move to the northeasternmost cornerof the map along the train tracks. To the right of this area, you’ll find a switch. From here,jump down to the right onto the beach, then head southto find the chest.
Where To Find The Violet Balloons
To obtain this balloon,you need a Snorkel.Fast travel to Resort Plazain the center of Seaside Resort.Move left to reach the circular areain the middle of the plaza, thenhead north.Dive into the seabehind the sign next to the bridge, and you’ll find the cheston the ocean floorto the right.
Where To Find The Warm Pink Balloons
To obtain this balloon, you need a Snorkel.Fast travel to the Sunken Shipwaypoint in Rainbow Reef.Enter the sunken pirate ship, and move left, you’ll find the chest between the two torches next to a thermal block.
Where To Find The White Balloons
Teleport to Icy Peak Entranceand head through the doorway on the left. Go right and ascend using the planks, then scale the cliff ahead on your right. When youreach the two torches, climb the planks on the right to climb even higher.
Enter the cave, climb the wall to your left, and upon reaching the lake, turn right.Glide with your balloons to the ledgewhere the chest awaits.
Where To Find The Yellow Balloons
Fast travel to the Oasis waypointin Gemstone Mountain. Follow the path to theright of the mailbox. Instead of climbing the northern ladder,move right and continue past the puzzle room entrance.Near some plants, you’ll find the chest containing the Yellow Balloons.
