InHello Kitty Island Adventure, your journey begins on a plane but takes an unexpected turn, ending at Seaside Resort. While this peaceful area offers plenty to do, your adventure isn’t limited to just this location. By collecting Power Crystals, you can unlock new regions or complete quests given by friends.
The first destination you’ll head to is Spooky Swamp, but you’ll need to find these Power Crystals first. Exploring new areas lets you gather materials and make new friends. If your goal is to find all Power Crystals, you’re in the right place! This guide will help you locate each one with ease.
All Yellow Power Crystal Locations
Once yourfriendship with Chococatreaches level one, speaking with him will give you thePower Up The Gate quest. To open the large gate next to him and access the Spooky Swamp, you will need to find three yellow crystals. However, before doing so, don’t forget thatyou need to craft a Power Crystal Sensor first:

Magnet
Sticks can easily be found while exploring the Seaside Resort. However, magnets are a bit trickier to obtain. To find the three magnets, your friendship with Tuxedosam, Badtz-maru, and Pochacco must be at least level two. Your friendship with them will reach level one after completing the first task, ‘Small Gift Big Smile.’

Pochacco
You can give Pochacco theTofu you got from Hello Kittyto receive one of the magnets from him. If you run out of Tofu, you can give Hello Kitty one of her favorite gifts to obtain more Tofu.
Badtz-maru
Badtz-maru loves gifts from the Joke, Tropical, and Pizza categories. You’ll need to find one of these gifts for him to get a magnet. After talking to him, you will receive the Water Balloon crafting plan. Now, you cancraft a Water Balloon using rubberand give it to him to increase your friendship to level two, thus earning the magnet.
Tuxedosam
Tuxedosam loves giftsfrom the Fabric, Tropical, and Fancy themes.Giving him a gift from one of these categories will raise your friendship to level two, and you’ll get the magnet from him.
After acquiring the three magnets, you cancraft the Crystal Sensorusing Chococat’s crafting bench.
Where To Find The First Yellow Crystal
After crafting the Crystal Sensor, use it, and Chococat will come with you.Walk down the wooden path to the left, and when the path splits, go north. To the left, you willfind a purple gate with two pressure platesin front of it. Chococat will step on one of them, and you should step on the other.
This will open the gate, allowing you toenter the Beginners Bridge puzzleroom. All you need to do here isgrab the golden cube and place it on the purple button.This will create stairs, allowing you to cross the bridge and climb the purple climbing wall to the left. This is where you’ll find the first yellow crystal.
Where To Find The Second Yellow Crystal
To find the second yellow crystal,start from Badtz-maru’s shopand head north, passing the torches on the dock. On the left,follow the stone path to another puzzle room.Again, use the buttons with Chococat toenter the Crystal Conundrum puzzle room:
Where To Find The Third Yellow Crystal
To get the third yellow crystal,head north from the spot where the plane lands(center of the island) on the island and follow the wooden path. However, you’ll need tobuild a bridge to continue on to the next island.To do this, speak with My Melody. She will help you if youfind two Strawberry Crateson the island.
After giving her the crates, she will come with you.Take her to the bridge, and interact with the sign. She will then build the bridge, allowing you to access the northern island. Once there, you will find the third crystalon the right side of the beach.After collecting all three yellow crystals, you can open the gate and head to the Spooky Swamp area.
All Green Power Crystal Locations
Where To Find The First Green Crystal
Afterbecoming friends with Kuromiin Spooky Swamp, you need tolevel up your friendship to the fourthlevelin order to receive theRe-Haunt the Spooky Swamp questfrom her. Kuromi loves gifts from the Soda, Fall, and Spooky categories. After obtaining the Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp quest, follow Kuromi, andshe will give you the first Green Crystal.
Where To Find The Second Green Crystal
Place the first Green Crystal on the log to the right of Kuromi. This will grant you access to the Haunted Mansion. Aftercompleting the ten puzzle roomsinside, you willfind the second Green Crystal in the final room.
Where To Find The Third Green Crystal
Place the second Green Crystalon the log to the right of the train tracks, ahead of where Kuromi is. You will need to take the train and, while riding,look for switches toturn on street lightsin areas where the fog is very thick.
After completing the ride, a puzzle room door will open. Inside, you will find the third and final Green Crystal. Cross the wooden bridge to the right of Kuromi, and you will encounter Nul, who will not allow you to pass.Wear the Witch Hat and Witch Dressfrom your inventory, and this will allow you to pass, letting you place the last crystal.
You can find the Witch costume pieces in the chest at Haunted Mansion and after restoring the ride, in the chest located in the secret cave just below the first lamppost.
All Blue Power Crystal Locations
Before collecting the Blue Crystals in Rainbow Reef,your friendship with Hangyodonmust be at level six. This will allow you to receive the ‘Comic Relief’ quest. While you don’t need to accept this quest to find the Blue Crystals,you will need a Snorkelto collect them. Additionally, you won’t be able to place the Blue Crystals into the Mermaidifier without starting the quest.
First,retrieve Hangyodon’s suitcase from behind the buildingwhere he is located. Hangyodon will then ask you to find the missing pieces of his mermaid outfit that fell from his lost suitcase:

Mermaid Tiara
Located northwest of the previous piece, south of the large pink rings underwater.
After collecting the mermaid outfit, talk to Hangyodon again. He will move to the Mermaidifier. Speak with Chococat to officially begin searching for the Blue Crystals.
Where To Find The First Blue Crystal
For the first Blue Crystal, go to the dock south of Gemstone Mountain.There, you’llfind a deep underwater pit.Dive in, and you’ll discover the first crystal.
Where To Find The Second Blue Crystal
The second Blue Crystal isinside the sunken pirate shipin Rainbow Reef. Dive towards the ship andenter through the white door on the south side.This will take you to a puzzle room. The puzzle is very simple—activate either the red cube on the ship or the one to the north.This will create an upward air current.
Use the air currents and balloons toglide toward the ship’s mast, where you’ll find the Blue Power Crystal.
Where To Find The Third Blue Crystal
To find the third Blue Crystal,dive near the inverted L-shaped rock formationsoutheast of the pirate ship. The crystal islocated where the horizontal and vertical rocks intersect.Dive down to easily locate this piece.
Once you’ve collected all three Blue Crystals,interact with the Mermaidifier.This machine transforms your friends into mermaids, allowing them to swim more efficiently. Finally, Hangyodon will give you Comedy Show Flyers—deliver them to My Melody.
As the last step, speak to Hangyodon at night. Then, use the Espresso Machine to the left of the building andcreate a drink using a Candlenut.
All Purple Power Crystal Locations
Before finding the Purple Crystals,your friendship with Pekklemust be at level five; only then will you be able to receive the ‘Bring Back the Swing’ quest from it. Pekkle loves gifts from the Music, Mountain, and Calm categories.
After reaching level five in your friendship, talk to Pekkle, and it will head to the Dance Hall. Once there, speak to Pekkle to activate the Dance Hall, but you’ll need to find the Power Crystals.
Where To Find The First Purple Crystal
To get the first Purple Crystal, leave the Dance Hall, go down the stairs, andhead northeast once you reach the fast travel mailbox.You will arrive at a lake, and in the middle of the lake, you’llfind an island where the first crystal is located.
Where To Find The Second Purple Crystal
Start in front of the Dance Hall building, head south down the stairs, andreach the fast travel mailbox.From there, follow the southwest path. When you reach a fork in the road, head south, and you willsee a direction signboard.
Go to the signboard andclimb the hill to the left.Climb up the rocks on the right side of the hill. It may be difficult to reach the Purple Crystal on top if you don’t have much stamina. However, if youkeep pressing the jump button while climbing, you can easily reach the top and grab the Purple Crystal.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to climb,go north of the direction signboard, follow the road north of the two buildings.Continue on the left of the direction signboard, climb the wooden ladder, and follow the path. After passing between two cacti,head south, and move left along the ledge.
You willsee wooden planks to the south, follow them, and you’ll reach a wooden bridge.Head right, and you will find the Purple Crystal.
Where To Find The Third Purple Crystal
The easiest way to get this Purple Crystal is tohead northwest from the Dance Hall building.Stop in front of the streetlamp shaped like a lantern, andclimb the rocks to the left of the lantern to reach the mountain.
While climbing, keep pressing the jump button to minimize stamina usage. Once at the top,you will find the Purple Crystal at the end of the bridge on the left.
If you couldn’t manage the jump-and-climb style, don’t worry. After leaving the Dance Hall,turn left and follow the path straight ahead.At the end of the path, you’llfind a ladder; use it to climb the hill.Follow the wooden plank path and climb the short ladder.
Follow the path again, and when youreach the fast travel mailbox, take the path to the right and climb another ladder. When youreach the train tracks, continue moving right. Once yousee the second minecartstuck in the sand,head southwest, then turn left.You willpass under a rock archand reach the wooden bridges. Move left, and you will get the Power Crystal.
After bringing all three crystals to the Dance Hall and speaking with Pekkle, they will give you five invitations. Give these invitations to five characters, and then speak with Pekkle at night to complete the quest.
All Red Power Crystal Locations
you may collect the Red Crystals in Mount Hothead without needing to start a quest. However, to place them,your friendship with Retsukomust be at level seven, and you need to accept the Enraging Ruins quest from her.
Where To Find The First Red Crystal
From Retsuko’s location,head south and jump down. Then, move left—you’ll find the Red Crystalnext to visitor cabin number three.
Where To Find The Second Red Crystal
This crystal is in an easy-to-find spot. From Retsuko’s location,head right and stop near the fast travel mailbox.You’ll find the Red Crystal to theleft of the mailbox.
Where To Find The Third Red Crystal
The third crystal is located in the Hot Springs area,northeast of Mount Hothead.After fast traveling to the mailbox in this area, look to the left of the waterfalls,in front of the small pool where the water flows.If you have trouble finding it, go to the top of the waterfall, jump down from the zipline area, and head north to reach the crystal.
After collecting all three Red Crystals, place them into the Ancient Ruins Door. This will unlock the Ancient Ruins, and you’ll need to complete the area to progress.
