To make various weapons and metal items inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll need to find the right materials. For some, you’ll need charcoal as well as metal. However, since you can’t just pick charcoal like you can herbs and flowers, you’ll need to find it in other ways.

You’ll need to either buy it from the correct merchants or loot it from the right place, and then take it to a Smithy to make what you want. Thankfully, you can buy charcoal for just 0.5 Groschen - so you should be able to afford loads of it. You just need to head to the right place.

Where To Buy Charcoal

If you’re in the Trosky region, you can buy charcoal from a variety of places. You canhead to Blacksmith Radovan in Tachov, Aranka in the Nomad Camp in the west of the region, or Herbalist Barnaby north of Trosky Castle.

If you’re further into the game, you canbuy it from the Apothecary in the centre of Kuttenberg City or the Herbalist in the marketnearby.

Most Blacksmiths, Herbalists, Armourers, and Apothecaries will sell charcoal, since it can be used for crafting weapons and potions.

How To Find Charcoal

Alternatively, you can loot charcoal from certain locations. You cannot harvest it from anywhere - it doesn’t grow like herbs and Henry doesn’t have the skills to mine ore and refine it.

You’ll be able tofind some charcoal in sacks around mines or in the belongings of Blacksmiths. If you head to the mines south of Kuttenberg City, you should be able to find some in buildings there. If you’re going to take it from Blacksmiths, you should try and do it at nighttime.

Unlike herbs and food, you can keep charcoal in your inventory for an unlimited amount of time without it going bad.
