Each weapon inDynasty Warriors: Originshas a unique array of Battle Arts. These special techniques allow for powerful combos that you’re able to use to adapt your playstyle and fight in a way that suits you best. There are plenty available by default, but you can also unlock new Battle Arts by finding the Tomes hidden throughout China.
There are actually multiple methods for acquiring Battle Art Tomes, but since each one is unique you’ll have to follow every conceivable path if you want to learn every technique that the game has to offer.
Elder Tomes
The four Elders are brothers who live across the realm, and they will each give you a Battle Art Tome if you can find them. They appearon the World Map at the start of each new chapter, but you may not be able to reach them immediately.
The first Elder can be foundfishing in the river next to Wan Castle in Jing Province.You can visit him when you travel south to help Cao Cao defeat the Yellow Turbans in the central plains.
Spree Of Devastation (Spear)
In Chapter 2, return to Yan Province, near the central plains where you first met Cao Cao. An Elder now waitson the other side of the mountains from the Waystone.
Flying Dragon Slash (Sword)
After helping Sun Jian take Fan Castle in Chapter 3, the nearby port will become accessible. Use it to cross the river and speak with the Elder before starting the Battle of Xiangyang.
Helping take Fan Castlewon’t lock you out of any faction’s story route. Just be sure to do it before progressing to the second half of the chapter.
Divine Eagle Dance (Sword)
When Chapter 4 begins, the gate behind Changsha in Jing Province will be opened. Go through it to find an Elder waiting near the city of Chaisang. you may also take boats from Yang Province to the newly-opened ports.
Peace Tomes
Several Battle Art Tomes aregiven as rewards for raising the Peace level of provinces.you may do this by fighting battles there;skirmishes don’t offer very much Peace, but can be repeated, while story and side missions are one-time events that give a much greater bonus.

Shop Tomes
These Tomes are the easiest of the bunch to acquire. All you have to do isbuy them at a Shop in any city. More Tomes become available with each Chapter, so check back often.

Companion Tomes
These Tomes contain the signature Battle Arts ofeach of the ten playable companions.you may earn them byreaching the maximum Bond level with their respective characters.Be sure to talk to your allies whenever they appear on the map,check for letters regularly at the Inn, and fulfill any requests that your friends give you.
Heaven And Earth’s Wrath
Lu Bu
Special
Guo Jia’s storylinecan only be completed on the Altered Fate route for Cao Cao, so you need to save both him and Dian Wei to get Fickle Fury.
You mustdefeat Lu Bu at the Battle Of Hulao Gateto access his Bond storyline. You probably won’t be able to do this on your first playthrough, so try again in the postgame.
Ultimate Warrior Tomes
These powerful Battle Arts canonly be unlocked after completing the game at least once. Once you do, you’ll be able to attempt past missions onUltimate Warrior difficulty, with an added challenge. Some missions offer Battle Art Tomes as a reward for completing these bonus objectives.
Defeat the large force before Yellow Turban reinforcements arrive.
The reinforcements are triggered bydefeating the enemies fighting Dong Zhuo at the center of the map.
Win without letting Wang Yun’s health drop below 60%.
The first assassin is meant to draw you away so two more can attack Wang Yun;let Diaochan handle him.
Defeat both Jia Xu and Zhang Liao.
Beat Zhang Liao quickly after leaving the throne room, thenrush west to fight Jia Xu.You need to beat both before Lu Bu catches up, or you’ll be in trouble.
4 (Cao Cao or Liu Bei)
Relieve the siege of Baima Castle within 15 mnutes.
Take Zhang Liao as your companion to get the best starting position. attempt to disband the large force before you need to save Cao Cao from Bailuan.
4 (Liu Bei)
Win before Yuan Shu arrives.
Focus on either defeating Zhang Liao or opening the floodgate to quickly enter the castle and stop Lu Bu’s attacks.
Pass the fifth gate within 6 minutes.
Ride past anyone that you don’t strictly need to fight, andcharge gates before they closeto burst through them and proceed.
5 (Sun Clan)
Win without letting Ling Tong be defeated.
Intercept the first army that goes after Sun Quan so that you can attack Gan Ning’s position as soon as he appears without leaving your leader in danger.
Defeat Huang Zu’s large force without first defeating Gan Ning.
Help Cheng Pu’s group get into position south of the large force for a charge, butdon’t defeat the generaluntil Huang Zu comes out of the castle to assume command or the objective will fail.
5 (Liu Bei)
Get all allies safely to Liu Bei within 8 minutes
Pick Zhao Yun as your companion;rush through the enemies blocking your path, ignoring Jia Xu on your way back to the bridge. Save the peasants, then clean up the enemies fighting Zhang Fei.
