A core appeal of Monster Hunter is the structure. You pick the monster you want to hunt, get all your gear ready, gather up a team, eat your meal, and head out. That has been the standard across just about every Monster Hunter Game. UntilMonster Hunter Wilds. Pop-Up Camps change the game quite dramatically.
No more running to the hub between hunts, and having to pick out a hunt from a list. Run out into the world and find those monster yourself, and rest at any camp you find along the way. And when it comes to the Windward Plains, there are quite a few Pop-Up Camps for you to find.
What Are Pop-Up Camps?
Pop-Up Camps are, for all intents and purposes,the same as your own tent back at Base Campin each region. you may start quests, change your equipment, restock your items, and pretty much everything else. The only major thing you miss out on are the helpful NPCs at Base Camp, like Gemma or the Provisions Stockpile.
There aretwo ways of setting up a Pop-Up Camp, which are as follow:
Mind you, if your camp slots are full in a region, youcan only reset them by returning to Base Camp.
While Pop-Up Camps are incredibly handy, they come with their own risks.Any monster that comes across them will almost definitely destroy them, at which point you have to either wait for them to be repaired automatically, or pay some Guild Points to have it repaired immediately.
How Many Pop-Up Camps Are There In The Windward Plains?
Across all the regions of the game, the Windward Plains easily has the most Pop-Up Camp sites of any region, though you stillcan’t place any more than five at its maximum limit. The majority of these camp sites are out in the open, though some may find themselves hidden away in hard-to-reach areas.
There are atotal of 13 Pop-Up Camps in the Windward Plains. The only thing to look out for here is that many of the Pop-Up Camps are relatively close to one another. ensure none of them are too close and you have a quite coverage of areas when choosing which camps to establish.
Every Windward Plains Pop-Up Camp Location
The Windward Plains is a big region, and so it stands to reason that it would have so many Pop-Up Camps. Actually finding them all across that vast area is another story, sohere are some directionsto get you to them faster.
Area 3: South
This camp is smack-dab in the middle of Area 6 andto the west, on the path leading to Area 3.
Area 4: Mineral Cave
This camp is found in Area 4 along a thinpath only the Seikret can navigateand high up in a cave.
Area 4: West
This camp is founddirectly west of the previous campin a more wide open area.
Area 6: Valley Hideaway
This camp is also found in Area 6, thoughfurther west in a location more hiddenand reached with the Seikret.
Area 8: Southwest
This camp is found in the large Area 8, in thesouthwest near the entrance to the desert.
Area 8: Southeast
This camp is also in Area 8, though in thesouth-east corner by all the honeyinstead.
Area 9: Lookout Hill
This camp is found in Area 9, which ison a small plateau above the Quematrice nest.
Area 10: Southeast
This camp is located in thesoutheast corner of Area 10just before entering the other Quematrice nest.
Area 13: Oasis
This is located right in thevery centre of Area 13by the Oasis.
Area 13: West
This camp is also found in the vast Area 13 desert, though isfurther to the west of the Oasisand behind some sand dunes.
Area 14: Groundwater Vein
This camp is located in Area 13, and can be reached byentering the cave from the above Oasisin Area 13.
Area 16: Bone Desert
This camp is found in Area 16 just before the run to Rey Dau’s nest, and can befound in the southon its own path.
Area 16: Northwest
This camp is found on the direct opposite side as the Bone Desert oneto the north, resting atop the cliff.
