Hello Kitty Island Adventureleaves you on an island along with your friends, and it’s up to you to explore it. Sometimes, you unlock new areas by completing quests. The Power Up The Gate quest opens up the gate to reach new areas, including the Spooky Swamp, where you will meet Kuromi and Kerropi.
However, this quest will lead you to complete several more small quests. You will need to befriend some friends to obtain Magnets, which you can use to craft the Crystal Sensor. Using the device, you have to search for Yellow Power Crystals to unlock the gate.
How To Start Power Up The Gate Quest
After you find yourself on an island among other friends, My Melody will ask you todeliver gifts to the friends present in Seaside Resortin the Small Gift Big Smile quest. During the course of this quest, you willbefriend Chococatand many other characters.
Once you complete the quest, you caninteract with Chococat to begin the Power Up The Gate quest. You willfind him near the large gate on the left side of the islandbeyond his tent.
How To Craft The Crystal Sensor
Chococat will tell you that to open this gate,we need to find some Yellow Power Crystals. You can’t do that unless youfirst craft the Crystal Sensor. You need to bring the following materials to the crafting table outside Chococat’s tent.
Sticks can be found all around theSeaside Resort island. However, they are easier to overlook as they aresmall and often hidden behind plants and bushes. They are also foundatop wooden crates.
How To Get Magnets
To get Magnets, you need to be better friends withBadtzu-Maru, Tuxedosam, and Pochacco. Once youincrease their friendship level to two, they will each give you one Magnet.
Pochacco is found in the lower area of the island just beyond the Gudetama signpost. After you talk to him,he will mention seeing alittle egg. You need totake a picture of it, and see Pochaco againnear the signpost.He will give you a magnet as a reward.
How To Find Clothing Stands
Tuxedosam is foundinside his shop, which is foundnear other houses in the middle of the island. Apparently, helost some Clothing Stands, and he will ask you to find them for theStanding Up quest. You don’t need to look that far from them asall three of them will be near his location. However, be thorough in your search, as they are hidden behind objects.
After exiting his shop, you willfind one near to it. Go on the path above from there and you will find another between two rocks. Go to Visitor Cabin 2, which you will find if you go further left. The final stand is hidden behind the yellow sign beside the cabin.
How To Get Badtz-Maru Magnet
Badtz-Maru is slightly rude and won’t hand it over as easily. To get his attention, you need tograb the comic book which you can find on a rocknear his location. After you collect it, Badt-Maru will thennotice a comic stand nearbyand make himself home there.
If you interact with him again, he will ask you togive him a Water Balloon. You can make it by using three Rubber found on the island, which look like a blue ball with pink stripes. After collecting three Rubbers,craft the Water Balloon at the crafting table. Gift him the Water Balloon and he will gladly hand over his Magnet.
Rubber is also found over the beach sand or behind bushes.
How To Find Yellow Power Crystals
After you make the Crystal Sensor, you’re able to equip it from your toolbar.If you go closer to the crystals, thesensor will show a huge reaction— you can recognize it bythe sound waves around the sensor, as it turns red. Two of those Yellow Power Crystals are found in thepuzzle rooms in Seaside Resort.
Wait for Chococat to stand on one of the buttons outside the door if you are unable to open these rooms. You need to place the crates on the buttons to unlock your way to the Power Crystals to solve the puzzle room.
The final Yellow Power Crystal is locatedbeyond a broken bridge found on the north side of the resort. You need to talk to My Melody and complete the Building Bridges quest. She needs some Strawberry Crates which are scattered around the island.
After you have gathered all three of them, you need to return to that huge gate. Chococat will activate it, and it will open the door to newexplorable areas such as the Spooky Swamp. You will also receiveDecorative Yellow Power Crystal Plans and Blank Book Crafting Plansas quest rewards.
