After Bozhena patches up Henry and Hans inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it’s only fair to repay her kindness. After you leave her hut and progress with the main story, you can come back, specifically when you are both hailed as beggars and aren’t permitted to enter the castle.
If you want to repay Bozhena’s kindness, she will tell you that Pavlena, her daughter, has been missing for the past few days. That is when the side quest Bad Blood will commence.

Investigate To Find More About Pavlena
After talking to Bozhena, head over to Pavelna’s roomto do some investigation. If you have enough lockpicking skills, you’re able to try to open the chest in her room, but if you don’t, then there is no need to worry as there will be enough clues.
Look for a cap on a stool and then talk to Bozhena again. After that,go to Troskowitzand talk to theScribe or the Bailiff,as they will boththen tell you to go to Woodcutter Dushka for more information.

You can also talk to theInnkeeper Betty, and she will point you toward some more people to talk to. However, ultimately, you’ll always be heading for Dushka.
You may not find Woodcutter Dushka when you reach your map marker, as he will besearching the area for someone called Roman. He will be calling Roman’s name, sofollow the voiceto find him.

You can get more information from Dushka by using the first option, but you need to have at least 8 points in the skill. If you choose the second option, he will give you some Groschen as Henry would convince him that he could need those in case he had to pay off a guard. It is better not to intimidate him by choosing the third option, as that is less likely to work.
Dushka will then tell you about Pavlena’s relationship with Roman. As he is also finding Roman, he wouldn’t hesitate to help you to keep looking for him. So, go on and search Roman’s house.Lockpick the front doorand enter to investigate.

If you don’t have any lockpicks or failed in an attempt to open the door, you may climb up the ladder that can be found at the side of the building. Once you have used the ladder to climb, head over to the kitchen to find some clues. There is also a chest you can loot, but that requires strong lockpicking skills to open.
Once you are done investigating, you will figure out that Pavlena was in Roman’s house, so with this new information head back to Dushko and talk to him. By doing so, he will help you to look for more clues by heading toward a spot near the stream.

Looking For More Clues Near The Stream
Go to the area marked on your map, and you will find more clues. Once you have reached the clearing Dushko mentioned, you will notice blood on the ground. There will be a trail of blood, so follow that and you will eventually reach a corpse. That is Roman’s corpse and a pig would be feasting on it.
You can ask Mutt to sniff the blood and lead the way. However, for this, you would need to do a side quest in order to find him. The blood trail is pretty easy to follow, so even if you don’t have Mutt, finding Roman’s dead body won’t be difficult at all.

There will be a pig herder nearby. He will tell you aboutStraw, a farmhand that potentially buried Roman. After finishing talking to the herder, Straw’s location will bemarked on your map.
Confronting Straw
Straw will behiding behind the barn. Confront him, and you will be given some skill checks.
Using thedread checkwon’t work, as he will instead attempt to kill you, so do not go for that option. Instead, try using speech or charismato get more information, includingPavlena’s location.

Once you have the information, you can kill him or hand him over to the Bailiff. Killing him is the fastest option, but will reduce your reputation in the town. He isstill going to dieif you hand him over to the bailiff, but it willincrease your reputation. Nonetheless, it won’t have any effect on the quest.
Where To Find Pavlena
Once you have dealt with Straw, head over to thecoordinates marked on your map to find Pavlena. Once you are near the location, you will notice a ladder between some rocks, protected by a dog you’re able to eitheravoid or kill.
At the top of the ladder, you’ll find another farmhand,Ota, has taken Pavlena hostage. you’re able to either let Pavlena die, orsuccessfully negotiate with Otato save her for the better outcome. Your negotiation can easily go south if you continue to provoke Ota ormention that Pavlena is pregnant.
If she dies, you will need to head over to Bozhena to tell her about what happened, andshe will be devastated by this news. Ultimately, she will ask you to kill Jakesh, who has made her life a living hell. You can now either kill him or try to reason with him.
How To Save Pavlena
However, the best course of action is to save Pavlenaand you can do that by simply introducing yourself in the negotiation.
After seeing Pavlena,do not take another step, as this will cause Ota to kill her instantly.
Once you have introduced yourself as Henry, tell him that Bozhena sent you and then ask him why he is doing this. After that, choose the option ofputting a good word for him with Von Bergow, and he would release Pavlena.
However,Pavlena will kill himwhen she is released. You shouldtake Pavlena’s sidehere, and then take her home. You should travel with herto fast-travel to her house.
Should You Kill Or Spare Jakesh
Regardless of if Pavlena survives or not, Bozhena will ask you to kill Jakesh on your return. If you deny the request, you willlose reputation with her and the quest will end.
If you accept, Jakesh’s location will bemarked on your map. If you kill Jakesh, this will tremendouslyincrease your reputation with Bozhena and Pavlenaand you will unlock a new dialogue with the latter.
If you kill Jakesh you will lose reputation in Troskowitz. You may even be arrested if someone sees you killing him.
However, if you spare him andconvince him to make up with Bozhena, both will return to Troskowitz. She will offer you half the money Jakesh gave her;you can either take it, or ask her to keep them for Pavlenato complete the quest.
You can’t romance Pavlena, so killing Jakesh will only give you a necklace that was given to her by Roman.
