The fact that the in-game description for St. John’s Wort says you’ll be able tofind the plant in “leafy woods, glades, and clearings,“you’d think it’ll be plentiful when out in the open world. However, that’s not necessarily the case. These are two reliable places you’ll be able to find it.
First of all, you canpick it from the garden at Herbalist Barnaby’s in the woods to the north of Trosky Castle. Alternatively, you’ll be able topick it from the outskirts of the woods north of Tachovin the west of the game’s first region.
If you’re going to take St. John’s Wort from Herbalist Barnaby’s garden, be sure to do it at night so that he doesn’t see you stealing.
Where To Buy St. John’s Wort
You can also buy St. John’s Wort from various merchants in the game.Almost every herbalist or apothecary will sell it, but some will be more reliable than others.
You canbuy St. John’s Wort from Herbalist Barnabyif you don’t want to steal it from him,as well as Aranka in the Nomad’s camp in the west of the Trosky region.
You can alsobuy it in its dried form from the apothecary in the centre of Kuttenberg, or fresh from market close by. Just be sure to only take what you need so that it doesn’t go bad on your travels.
Carrying dried St. John’s Wort would be the smartest thing to do because it’ll last longer and allow you to take your time making the potions it’s needed in.
