Soon after you start playingAvowed, the tutorial will introduce you to various upgrade items that you can get through different means during your gameplay. These items don’t come in use in the beginning since you’ll constantly be switching weapons and trying new things.
However, once you get to the late game where you find a couple of weapons that suit your vibe, you’ll consistently have to grind and get these upgrade items to upgrade your favorite gear, and here’s how you can do that.
How To Get Every Type Of Upgrade Item In Avowed
While the upgrade system in Avowed isn’t super intricate and immersive, it’s also not completely straightforward since you have arange of items that you have to get based on what you want to upgrade. Here are all types of upgrade items you’ll find in the game:
Herb
This will be the most sought-after upgrade item no matter the tier of your items sinceevery gear in the game requires these for upgrades. You can only get so many herbs, so it’s important to be selective with what you decide to upgrade.
Wood
These items are used to mainly upgrade all thewooden items like shields, wands, and bows.
Metal
You’ll be using different rarities of metal toupgrade your swords, daggers, maces, and all other melee weapons in the game.
Armor Material
As the name suggests, the skin-type materials will be usedwhenever you’re upgrading your armor.
Adra
Finally, if you’re takingany item from one tier to the next, you’ll be consuming a set amount of Adra.
Each gear needs to beleveled up three times in a particular tierbefore you can move to the next one.
You can upgrade all the unique gear to the Legendary tier, but some of thenormal gear can only be upgraded to a certain tier.
Even though you have five tiers for each type of upgrade item in the game,the method to acquire them remains the same throughout. The only difference is the location where you’ll find these items since that depends on the tier. Here’s how you can get each upgrade item:
Generally, you can get all the common tier of items in Dawnshore, fine in Emerald Stairs, exceptional in Shatterscarp, superb in Galawain’s Tusk, and legendary in The Garden. However,you can find some higher-tier metal, wood, and armor in lower-tier areasin the parts where you find high-level enemies.
