However, with the weapon’s ease of use comes a penalty to what you can expect from the overall damage, with only 400 max Cannon Power for this weapon. However, the addition of a very long range makes this one of the most reliable weapons you can equip to the Goromaru.
Rapid-Fire Shells
Five-Second Duration
An energy cannon shares similar pros and cons with the Flame Cannon, but this option boasts a massive Cannon Power to compensate for the difficulty you might have landing the maximum amount of damage on your slippery opponents.
However, the damage from each volley is significant, making this an excellent mid-game choice to tide you over until you can upgrade to the heavy hitters. Ultimately, Energy Cannons suffer a similar fate to the Flame Cannon; they’re simply outclassed by a better option.
Three Contaminated Shells
The Super Egesta Cannon is one of the likely later-game pickups for your Goromaru,given the money you’ll need to pay for itand the time it might take to farm for the requisite materials. The Super Egesta Cannon boasts thesame type of artillery as the Gold Cannon,so this is a fantastic choice if you’re more comfortable with that type of weapon.
As a bonus to its reliability, the Super Egesta Cannon has contaminated shells that can poison enemy crews when they hit, causing chaos by inflicting damage and rendering them less effective. These shells are perfect if you don’t like to put yourself in range of a counterattack for long.
Three Freezing Shells
Much like the Egesta version, the Super Shark Cannon is marred by disappointing damage, but compensates for it with excellent range and the ability to lock down your opponents. The three Freezing Shells fired by the Super Shark Cannon are exceptionally powerful, especially when combined with the Frost Machine Gun.
With this combination, you can lock enemy ships in place by freezing them with your Super Shark Cannon andfollowing up with your Machine Gun to keep the frozen effect applied,dooming the enemy pirates to eventually be sunk by your shots.
Shoots flames for five seconds, igniting the target
If you’d rather lean into damage with your secondary effects, then the Flamethrower is the perfect choice, as this cannon ignites enemy pirate ships if you hit them with enough of the flames. Much like the Super Shark Cannon, you can combine this with the Gold Gatling Gun to keep opposing vessels burning.
While you still need to stick close to your enemies to ensure you’re doing the maximum amount of damage, the trade-off is more than worth it thanks to the increased damage and reliable ignition that this cannon can cause.
Fires Lasers for five seconds
The Laser Cannon earns its placement as the best overall cannon in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii thanks to its excellent burst and sustained damage combined with its strong range and duration to round things out.The tracking on these cannons makes the damage reliableand the decent duration ensures you have time to reposition if you need to.
With the highest Cannon Power in the game, the Laser Cannons are superior at ending fights as quickly as possible, though they might be suboptimal in certain fights.Aside from a small selection of battles,you may expect to get the best results possible from the Laser Cannon.
